I was about to say that there wasn't an Enterprise I didn't like but then I remembered the so-called "Enterprise-J", and realized I couldn't honestly say that anymore.

Of the ones listed, I have to go with the Enterprise-E, but actually the post-TNG ship I'm really more partial to is the Enterprise-B, despite its relatively brief appearance...

I'll go with the NX-01. I like the E-E, but over the years my impression of the ship has lessened due to some unusual design choices. I don't like the black sections on the saucer, for example. I find the JJ-prise completely unbalanced and the fugly nacelles don't help. The best looking part of that ship is the saucer and that's almost a complete copy of the E-refit.

I wasn't a fan of the NX-01 at first because it felt too advanced, but over the years my appreciation for it has grown considerably, especially after reading Doug Drexler's blog and learning all the loving details he added to the ship.

I actually slightly disliked the Enterprise-E when I first saw it. I have come to like it less and less the more I look at it, to the point where I now almost hate the design. Which is in every way the exact opposite impression I got from both the Galaxy Class and the NuEnterprise.

Love the E, but I'd have to go for the NX-01.

The new movie Enterprise is, like the film, hideous

One-by-One

The New NCC-1701

The Good: The interior is a radical departure from what's come before and it's nice to see bright color scheme again. The front and hind exterior views look great.

The Bad: Engineering. Plus, while the window-like view into Bridge is cool-looking, I won't deny it, how practical would it really be to have the bridge visually exposed when dealing with an enemy? What if there was ever something that Kirk needed to hide? You never know.

The Ugly: The exterior profile view. It didn't help that this was the first angle of the ship we were exposed to. I didn't like the ship again until I saw the design from other perspectives. The malproportioned nacelles and the struts that have to compensate for them stand out like a sore thumb, especially when paired with a neck that extends almost to where the struts begin.

NCC-1701-E

The Good: Great top-view, hind-view, side-view. The interiors also look highly advanced and give the sense that time is moving forward and the future is moving into its own future.

The Bad: Some of the sets are too obviously Voyager sets redressed or repainted. The same problem as with the Enterprise-A sets when TNG was in production.

The Ugly: The underbelly. Never liked it, never will.

NX-01

The Good: Lean-looking. Cramped. Love the transporter room.

The Bad: Should there even be a transporter room? And why aren't helm and navigation separated?

The Ugly: Nothing really. In general, I think the debates have always been more about the appropriateness of the design for its era than the actual appearance in and of itself.

Overall: It's close between all three but I'll go with the NX-01.

1. NX-01 - A safe design that looks good from pretty much any angle. It doesn't hurt that it is also the most distinctive of the three.

2. NCC-1701 - This one is just mind-boggling. From some angles it is the best we've seen to date, from other angles you just wonder what they were thinking.

3. NCC-1701-E - Worst Enterprise by far. It's like they took the TMP refit, the Excelsior and Voyager and mashed them together. This one just felt wrong from the first time I saw it.

I'm voting for the JJprise, though I have to admit, that even though it's design 'lineage' is obvious, the NX is a decent runner up.

I'm quite meh about the Sovereign design, to be honest.

NX-01 Bland, uninspired rip off of the Akira without the magnificence of the Akira and it doesn't compare to others because physical models look better.(ok in the case of JJ's CGI Enterprise a shit load more money was spent on making it look good.

NCC 1701. Not impressed. Nothing can beat TMP refit in my eyes. JJs Enterprise's warp nacelle look those ugly tacky 60's stand up ashtrays.

Enterprise E is not very exciting either. I prefer the galaxay class, but it has a new sleekness to it that seems more futuristic and technologically developed from the beginning of TNG era.

Enterprise-E is a great looking design. Sort of reminds me of the Constitution refit, which is good.

All three are nice, but I prefer the Sovereign-class NCC-1701-E, even though I hate that name for the class -- should've been Enterprise-class, IMO. (It means there's some ship out there in the 24th century called the USS Sovereign, which kind of sucks). -- RR

I really love the Enterprise from STXI, I thought the ship was a sight to see! Even though its in a new alertintve time line, its still great. And even though its not on list, I also like the Enterprise from TOS and the refit versions.

I like the NX-01. Don;t really care about the Akira. Couldn't have picked it out a line up at gunpoint priot to the "controversy". Don't really get the Akira love. The TOS homages all over the NX-01 sell it for me.

The new 1701 is okay, Not a fan of the nacelles. Too big.

I kind of like the name, but it may be because it was featured in Star Trek Bridge Commander, where it tore through fleets of Cardassian ships as if they were fleas.
