Whats your favorite class starship?

Originally, the Defiant was my favorite- up until Sacrifice of Angels.

Then I found out the Galaxy Class Ships weren't so bad, fter seeing them perform.

So for now, the Galaxy Class is my favorite , plus you gotta love the insides of those ships.

Out all the ships I've seen on Trek, the Galaxy Class has the most stylish, spacious look....

The Ambassador Class of the Ent-C. Always thought that was underrated, would have loved to have seen more of them in action.

Nogura-class, naturally.

What is that thing in the middle, between the nacelles and the saucer? Looks like the Prudential rock. :p

I love the Akira class, I liked the idea of a border patrol ship that was a cross between a carrier and a torpedo boat

1. Nova-class (the ship I'd like to serve on/command)

2. Galaxy-class

3. Ambassador-class

4. Constitution-class (refit)

5. Prometheus-class (as long as it doesn't go MVAM)

Top fave has to be retrofit Connie (TMP etc), though I have come to really like the nuPrise. Sovereign is near the top of the list, but IMO they went way overboard on the 'aztec' pattern.

You kid, but actually for her to look like she's carrying a small mountain on her back was exactly what I was going for. Most of the lower half or so is filled with fairly standard compartments - quarters, labs, holodecks, cargo bays, transporter rooms, etc. One huge room in the very heart of the bottom of the lower area has its own independent shields and redundant power - this is the holocore, where the computers that maintain certain software, like holographic crewpeople (including the ship's computer personality) and their families, friends, and homeworlds (I can explain this further if you would like), reside. The upper half is industrial replicators, storage, and bays for the various ships carried by the Nogura-class, including her fighter wings, and pilot quarters. That more solid, gray area toward the front of it is the bay for the flight deck.
It looks as though it would put all the complaints about the newest Enterprise's size to shame... huge.
Yes, but since she is intended as a mobile base and flagship class from the mid-26th century, that isn't quite as apples-to-apples as comparing the two Constitution classes, is it? :)

Here's a size comparison, with the Enterprise-A under the Nogura's saucer:

That would make it almost as big as Spacedock. Why on earth would they build a ship that big?

They act as mobile repair bases, mobile starbases, and in "presence projection" roles. Starfleet of the mid-26th-century is a much more... aggressive... organization than it was in the past. Plus, between the alliance with the Voth, and the use of the Dyson Shipyards, they have the resources to spare a-plenty.

Oh, and they wouldn't build it "on earth" - Iowa or otherwise. ;)

I may be in the minority here, but I really like the NX class. Some say its stolen from the Akira but I can live with the NX being an earlier version of the design. It seems to fit in well with its time period and is how I could imagine a starship looking if it was built, extrapolated from today's technology. Plus it's sleek. :)

From the novelizations or one of the serious fan fic storyline?

It is from unposted and mostly unwritten serious fan fiction. I've got a writer's bible including character bios, race bios, ship schematics, a chronology, new tech details and specifics, a bunch of story ideas - and one chapter written that I would never want to post unless I was certain I was ready to post follow-ups not long after. I wish I had more time to work on it, but I only get an opportunity to really get into it a few times a year. And usually my ideas have evolved by the next time, so I end up spending time revising what I already have.

Interesting ship, triumphant. Alliance with the Voth? That sounds sweet, I'd love to read that.
Shran, seeing your blue face :) reminded me of how much I like the Kumari. It's also one of my favorites, and I already said I love the D'deridex class, it's high on my list.

Has to be the Constitution refit from TMP:

But I also like the Miranda and the Soverign. Excelsior and Galaxy are some of the worst.

I have two favorite ships in all of Trek:

The USS Enterprise from ST09 is my favorite muscle-car ship.

This is one gets my vote for most elegant ship:

Oh, a man after my own heart! I have been in love with the Ambassador design since I first saw it in "Yesterday's Enterprise". Love the ST09 muscle car ship, and I also have a soft spot for the Galaxy Class, the Connie, the Refit Connie, and the Excelsior class (yes, choosing is difficult  ). Which reminds me; I have STO and I was sad to see the Commander class cruiser wasn't the Ambassador class. I love that class. :(
