What's with the phallic hairdos?

Re: What's with the falic herdoos?

We had a teacher at our school here in Taiwan that would confuse "too" and "to", as in "Those kids were to crazy!" and wrote "Your a great student!" on a kid's report card.
When confronted about this she said we were being spelling nazis...

The teacher didn't know the difference between too and too or you and you're? And didn't think it was important?

Herdoos? Falic? English not your native tongue?

did the post get fixed? if not, then i don't get this. >_<

i think what one needs to be concerned more here is the fact that he sees phallic symbolism in unintended things... especially ones that don't look anything like it. >_<

The thread title has been fixed, at the request of the OP.

What's not to get?

Oh, and the rest of your post looks a little too much like the sort of unnecessary chain-yanking I've seen from you in the past. Less of that, please.

No, she was quite the idiot.
To be totally honest...we're not 'real' teachers in that we're in Asia teaching to kids.
She's still and idiot...OH! I forgot about how on her Facbook page she lists "Jane Aire" as one of her favorite novels. Now OK, maybe someone doesn't know how to spell the main character's name...but dammit it's also the title of a famous book and YOU JUST LISTED IT AS ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE BOOKS!!!:klingon:

I don't think "phallic" means what some of you think it means.

Washington Monument: Phallic.

A short, stubby, bun? Not pahllic.

I do wonder how Uhura got her hairdo so high up; usually, the weight of the hair makes the rubber band (what's the correct term?) stretch out; did they used two new ones every day or what?

^ I love those old Warner Bros. cartoons from the 40s and 50s. Some truly brilliant stuff there.

Could be she's dyslexic or has some other reading disorder. I've known people who read all the time, yet constantly have to ask how this word or that word is spelled (or don't ask when they really should.) Some bit of wiring prevents them from being able to store and retain the correct spellings, no matter how many times they're seen the word on the page.

Thank you for your opinion. It will be given all due consideration.

I'm not joking when I say half the teenage girls in my neighborhood wear their hair just like that. The local 99-cent store sells a flexible plastic thing to hold it up in the back. :wtf:

There may be better shots of this crewman's hairdo, but these are the first two I came across (enlarged so they're a bit fuzzy). Fixated or not, intentional or not, by definition you have to admit the shape is that of a phallus.

JOKE! I don't even know Cawley, but could not resist the friendly jibe. Probably 'cause I'm jealous he's standing there and I'm not. No hard feelings?

^ ^ First character I thought of, and I've seen a fraction of one episode of B-5.
