What's the latest on "Farragut"?

Last I heard they were still doing post on their final film.
Brought on confirmed that Farragut Forward is no more despite an image of the new crew appearing on his Facebook. This is due to the cbs guide lines.
A crying shame, I utterly love the movie era, we know the Farragut crew already so to see them develop into a new chapter would have been cool, even just for one film. The pilot was to be written by Trek novel/comic veteran Michael Jan Friedman.
I believe they were to build a Wrath of Khan bridge with mostly green screen for other settings. Ah well, we have Homecoming to look forward to.

But the Takei scandal throws shade on that.
The producer says it's more of an extended cameo and they're soldiering on. He hopes the allegation will be proven false
I know enough about the film to say—worst case—if they needed to they could cut George out and it would not materially impact the story.

Of all the bummers that bummed me out about the post-guidelines world, the death of Farragut Forward bummed me out the most, even more than the cut Continues episodes. I adore the movie era. Just the sounds of it are incredible -- and weirdly hard to find. We spent literally days building just a couple of basic bridge loops for the Excelsior Chekov/Uhura crossover, scavenging through hours of footage for the few moments where the bridge was on-screen, everyone was quiet, and there was no music. (We never found a decent phaser sound and had to pull some shenanigans to cover it up in the final mix.)
So I was very excited to see the Farragut team take on that era in full visual glory. They've proven how good they are at evoking the era they're set in and I'm sure they would have blown us away.
I still secretly hope the relative quiet post-Axanar in this scene will permit Farragut Forward to find new life.

[EDIT: Link removed.] It's a bunch of TOS movie era film sound effects, including a 1.5 minute loop of the Reliant bridge and over 3 minutes of the Enterprise's.

Really cool to see Stan Lee make an appearance in the trailer.
