What's the difference on "Fringe" sets?

I'm torn between regular dvd and blu-ray. What's the advantage to blu-ray on the special features, if any?

The Blu-Ray has an extra commentary on the season finale, and the picture quality looks awesome. There are some extra behind the scenes things that are way too short though.

Are they shorter on blu-ray that they are on regular dvd? I'm hoping to get this soon.

These short behind the scenes clips aren't on the DVD, from what I've read. They're not worth the purchase of the Blu-Ray if there's a dramatic price difference, in my opinion.

Oh, I thought this thread was asking if anyone could tell the difference between the New York studio sets used in the first season and their Vancouver reconstructions in the second season. Although I think the only set we've actually seen in both seasons is Walter's lab, and maybe a tiny bit of Olivia's apartment (oh, and Bell's office in the other universe). The FBI offices and Nina Sharp's office are different sets now, and they made a plot point of Walter and Peter moving to a new house near the start of the season.

^ Really? I read the original post, and cannot in a million years fathom how one could be confused. And then post about that confusion.

propita - Amazon has the dvd box set of season 1 on sale now for just $19.99. I know, because that's where I ordered my set. The BD version is $46.99.

I don't know how much you care about Audio, but the Blu Ray doesn't employ an HD-Audio (DTS-HD Master Audio; Dolby TrueHD; Uncompressed PCM) track at all. It only has Dolby Digital, exactly like the DVD. For the price difference between DVD and Blu Ray I would consider this a rip off.

Anyway, here is a pretty good review of the Blu Ray set.

Probably based it on the title alone. Its been known to happen. And since he mentioned it his first sentence, I don't think the "confusion" lasted past reading the opening sentence of the OP.

I figured the confused poster had read only the thread title also.

Well, I got the blu-ray today--$29.99 at bestbuy. And got all my missing BSGs for $17.99/season. Hubby's only question was: "Is this the best price you can find?"
