There is no difference. They, like all labels, represent the inherent insecurity of gregariousness.

    Just enjoy the show.

I'll just repeat something from Sherlock Holmes fandom that I quoted here a few years ago:

"English Sherlockians like to call themselves Holmesians; American Holmesians like to call themselves Sherlockians."

I thought they were Cumberbitches? Seriously, he's said so himself -- that's what they call themselves!

In Trekkies the documentary it's basically explained no one really has an exact definition.

I prefer Trekkie personally but it's a meh debate.

..wonder if the Good Doctor knows or is related to Davy Jones in Pirates of the Carribean? I read somewhere he actually got the part of Will Turner. Not sure why that did not turn out!?!

I don't care for either "Trekkie" or "Trekker;" they're so twee. What's wrong with just being called a fan of STAR TREK, without the corny moniker from half a century ago? Some fandom traditions deserve a merciful death and this should be amongst the very first to go - especially now that STAR TREK has finally earned mainstream acceptance ...
