What's happened with the remastered series?

I see in two weeks or thereabouts we get "The Ultimate Computer". That one should be awesome. I hope its as well done as the Doomsday Machine.

The two I'm still looking forward to are The Ultimate Computer and Elan of Troyius.

Still haven't seen "The Enterprise Incident." Another one with some potentially great work from the remastering group.

You know what I'd like to see? The last episode of the series was "Turnabout Intruder", and the last episode that is in the "Remastered" rotation is also "Turnabout".

Wouldn't it be a great way to end the series to see the Enterprise warping away from the camera using the ST:TMP warp effect? Not once have we seen the Big E whoosh to warp speed during the "Remastered" series... I think it'd be cool to see it just that once, as sort of a bridge to the movies. (Not to mention it'd be a great bit of starship pr0n. :D)

That would be VERY cool. :D

Or at the very least have the Enterprise move away at maximum impulse towards a very bright and fantastic-looking nebula formation that fills the background with color and shapes.

*bought the first season of it on HDDVD... shame Blu-Ray is winning the media war and I'll have to buy it all over again*

I welcome the change from HDDVD to Blu-ray, if HD is still used for PC applications, I can pick up a copy of the remastered episodes cheaply down the line.

Having said that, my thoughts are with the casualties of the latest format war.

I welcome the change as well, I just wished some company would like... replace my HD versions to Blu-Ray free of charge.

There are ways to record or otherwise obtain the episodes in HD(please don't complain about the legal question, if you have bought the HD DVD eps I would say you are well within your rights) and burn them on standard DVD's but at the higher almost BluRay resolution. My good friend has done this with many films so far, broadcast in HD, and the result is very impressive.

I'm avoiding this one until there's a winner.

Meanwhile, anybody wanna buy a Betamax, an 8-Track player, and a Laserdisc?
