Actually, he looked quite a lot like a younger Patrick Stewart.
He looks totally NOT like a young Stewart. Nose, eyes, mouth, ears, chin are TOTALLY off.
What did you expect? A clone? He's the same kind of guy, he's got the same kind of face. Hardy looks closer to a younger Stewart than Ewan McGregor looked like a younger Alec McGuinness. To expect anything more is missing the point, in my opinion.
Just a thought.
I'm sure that this has been brought up years ago. How many people thought when they saw the first trailer for Nemesis that Data's brother Lore was back? I think that would have made for a better movie.

LOL no he doesn't, for the reasons listed above. He doesn't even look like he was a close relative. How do you define "same kind of face" if nothing fits?
I don't have to. It is the same kind of face. You're just on a little hyperbole safari here.
