The first thing I would do is to pinch myself. Really hard.
Once I've confirmed that I'm not hallucinating, I'd try to cooperate with the Starfleet personnel as much as possible. Staying calm and cool headed will better my chances of survival.
How would a trek fan make themselves useful on a starship since all their information is fictional. All you know is the few episodes of TOS. You don't know how to use any of the equipment on the ship and you are not even trained. Unless you have a Masters degree in something, you are basically a passenger.Future culture shock wouldn't worry me too much, since most of us have been exposed to a variety of science fiction through various mediums.
If it is determined that I cannot return to my own place and time (in order to prevent contamination of the timeline), I would immediately volunteer to make myself useful on the vessel I'm currently on.
I'd suspect that LaForge would know infinitely more than you would about Warp Core Engineering, so there wouldn't be any worry about an argument. After all, you have fictional info while he has "real info".I'd quietly observe my surroundings to confirm whether or not my knowledge of a fictional TV show matches up with their reality - I don't want to get into an argument with Scotty or LaForge over a misunderstanding regarding the finer aspects of Warp Core operation.
I pinch myself to simply make sure I'm not dreaming/hallucinating. Got nuthin' to do with fear. The first thing I would do is to pinch myself. Really hard.

If I understand you correctly, why would you be in fear for your life. This is Star Trek after.
I could be assigned very menial tasks, which could free up a crewman to do something more productive.Future culture shock wouldn't worry me too much, since most of us have been exposed to a variety of science fiction through various mediums.
