Sounds like it worked out well for you -- terrific conversation piece.Actually, that is a fan built unit. A fellow in Florida purchased components from various fans/vendors who make and sell specific parts. He had just moved into a condo that did not have the room needed to properly display the "Robot" and thus listed it for sale through his private site. He sold it "at a loss" as he didn't have the resources to store it long term. Relatively speaking, yeah, it was expensive, but NOWHERE near as expensive as the commercially licensed replicas currently offered.
