What Would You Choose From The ST Universe???

If you could have any functional device, machine, weapon or ship from TOS, what would it be and why?

My choice...the Agony Booth. It would be useful for punishing bad drivers, nosy neighbors, and cruel bosses.

The Enterprise. Or any Connie but preferably the Enterprise. I would then give the world a taste of my ship's power the way Kirk did in A Piece of the Action and set myself up as a benevolent dictator until people learned to play nice with each other.

The transporter. Would money on tickets, spend a bit longer in bed so didn't have to worry about being late for work, could "pop" home at lunchtime, see more people often oh and there would be a lot less pollution around -

No doubt it would have to be the transporter any day. No stuffy cars, crowded trains or buses or expensive flights and there in seconds.

The transporter would always make me fret about whether it's actually killing and replicating, vs teleporting, me. To avoid the existential angst, I'll opt for the replicator instead. (Technically not TOS, but a great gizmo.)

For most of my life, I'd've said I wanted a communicator and a tricorder.

Then I got a device that embodies both functions -- and more:

Sadly, the legal weasels at CBS have pulled the app from the Android Market. Fortunately, it's still available for download at other sites.

So now that I have a Tricorder, I have to fall back on the transporter. What with my ex running 500 miles away with the kids after our divorce, I could really use it ...
