Many of us would love to live in the world of Star Trek because it is a fun fictional universe that has a lot of appealing qualities to it. However, have you ever given any thought as to what you would actually do or be within the Star Trek universe (while being your human self)?

Please vote and then comment below to let us know your thoughts on the matter.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

~LS.

If I'm fantasizing, I'll be a starfleet officer, who manages not to get killed.
However, the idea of being a Federation bum who contributes nothing to society, as long as I still get the good life, sounds pretty damn appealing.

Worthless Federation Citizen, most definitely. :techman:

I'd spend all my time travelling around the Federation. I'd love to see places like Vulcan's Forge, the ice plains of Andoria, Tellar's mud baths, the lakes of Betazed, Bajor's hill country, and Berengaria's fire-breathing dragons.

I choose "Other".

If human, likely I'd just be on Earth in a normal job.

If I was another race however...

I'd be a low ranking Gaurd in the Romulan Empire. Uhlan Rek they'd call me. That or a Major in the Tal Shiar. Just because theres not that much on Romulans(that the viewers get to see) and I'd love to really see whats on the inside although I'd suspect I wouldn't live all too long. I can't ever see myself in a high rank just because I'm not that type. I'd be good enough to be a average joe.

Federation citizen

Occupation: Navigator aboard a civilian freighter that does a variety of contracted cargo runs, including some officially for both the Federation and Starfleet at times.

I chose time cop--it would give me a chance to use my interest in history and seems like a challenging job.

Dead. I'll never live long enough considering my current age to still be alive in any of those time periods.

I'd spend my days surveying M class planets for potential colonies, starbases and outposts.

I would be a Federation Citizen - And my occupation would be an artist (creating comic books, paintings, and holo novels).

I also would probably try and sell my artwork on the black market and get myself a Holo / Entertainment starship. My ongoing mission would be to cruise around the safest routes in the Alpha Quadrant selling my work, looking at strange new alien artwork, and boldly going into the Holodeck (in space) like no one has ever gone before.

A civilian scientist and an author. I'd rather just live on Earth instead of a starship or a space station. Besides, being a Starfleet officer is dangerous, especially if you are wearing a red shirt.

Yeah, I suppose I would primarily stay on Earth, too. However, it would be nice to take vacations to other worlds, though. Especially in a Holo-ship. I would also stick to space routes that were primarily safe and I would probably arm the heck out of the ship, too (Just in case I were to run into any hostile species).

I'd like to think I'd be in Starfleet - as it represents ideals I've always identified with -, although probably in a pencil pusher position on Earth or at some Starbase/space station (because a "frontline" posting would be too adventurous for my liking ;)).

It's a fun trying to place yourself in the Star Trek universe. :)

Personnally, I'm currently training to be a doctor. So, as I love medicine and have a strong sense of duty I see myself as a medical officer in late 24th century Starfleet. However, probably not on a star ship for very long as I would like to specialise rather than be the type of generalist we have seen in the respective series. Maybe even in a Starfleet hospital on Earth, considering I would like to have a family fairly soon and small kids and space just aren't the best combination. But given the long life expectancy and prolonged careers people have been shown to have I'm sure I would have the benefit of experiencing many different postings.

I'd be a Federation Citizen. Oh how nice it would be to watch some adult films using the holodeck! Yeah...

I'm going to go and re-think my life now.

It's so funny to think about what I am in 22nd century. All the time I think that we will live in the space in the next century. We will live in a spaceship, drink a medicament everyday instead of eating. And sometimes, we will have a trip to some star

Ordinary Federation citizen. I don't deal well with authority and there's no way I'd ever be able to function successfully in a military organization. I have trust issues and could never trust anyone enough to follow them blindly, possibly into death.

Definitely a Starfleet officer, probably in charge of firing those torpedoes and having a phaser rifle collection in my quarters.
