OMG Skyrim on the holodeck. Awesome. And I could then really meet my wife who I met in the game, and dragons. Dragons are awesome..

Indeed. And to be able to do things like summon up a bound weapon. (My preference has always been the bound bow.)

The reason I liked Oblivion was the ability to craft up spells, and apply enchantments to weapons, clothing, and armor.

Skyrim, for its dragons and its sheer scope. :) (I also liked how the bound bow functioned in that game better. You had a magic quarrel of arrows that restocked every time you called up the bow.)

And it I had my choice as to how to make the appearance of my wife in the game, then she would look like Red Sonja. :D (or maybe Xena.... or even better, Gabriel circa the latter seasons of X:WP )

Another computer game series I'd love to see become a holodeck game is the Elite Force series for Star Trek. In addition to phasering enemies into oblivion, I'd love to stroll the decks of Voyager and Enterprise E. (And the chance to try and chat up Seven.)

My copy of Elite Force will not work in Windows 7 64bit. Haven't been able to fix that. I got so frustrated I threw the disk out. :sigh:

Oh 7 if you bother her too much she tells you off.

I never saw Elite Force 2. Is that the one with the virtual Voyager? I wish I could still get that. Will it work in win 764 bit?

Apparently there is a way to install it on 64-bit Windows:

To install a game on 64-bit systems use installer located in: D:\Setup\Setup.exe.

The Virtual Voyager comes with the Elite Force 1 expansion pack.

Elite Force 2 should run fine, providing you can get a copy.

Sadly the only version of Elite Force 1 I had was the PlayStation 2 version. Decent in single player, except when the frame rate chugged down to less than 15FPS.

I would present myself as another "instructor of the social arts" to Seven. (She'd dig me then.....she's a sucker for that. LOL!)

Elite Force 2 was pretty cool. Been a while since I played it, and at that, forgot what machine (older PC) I played it on.

Bugger!!!!!!

Now I am lost with no disk at all "double sad face"

I wish I had been on this forum earlier and seen that link or asked about this.. Damn, and I bet you can't even buy this game anymore. Where is GOG when you need them?

In North Texas we have a reseller of old books, movies, music, and videogames called Half Price Books.
The last time that I was in their main store in Dallas they had both "Elite Force" and "Elite Force 2".
So I would try a store like that.

Here in New Orleans, LA, we used to have a few used games stores that dealt in older consoles and computer software. Sadly, they all went out of business.

Although I have tried several times, I have not been able to get into any video games. I get bored with them really quickly. Not only on a console or a computer, but on a phone, too. That being said, I'd love to give the holodeck a try. I think the realize would finally win me over. Instead of just seeing a character on the screen and playing the game, I'd have the weaponry and would be in the game. Safety protocols "ON", of course.

Well until it glitches. You know how reliable holodecks are and all :D
