if a mysterious force rendered all sources of technology around the world inert?
Hmmm. All forms of technology, huh?
So, penicillin stops working? Say goodbye to pulleys, screwdrivers, and running water? My knives don't cut things anymore? I can't even rub two sticks together and start a campfire?
I'd know my mind was compromised.

I would think that pencillin would still work since they are pills and there would be plenty of them still around. Knives would also work if you are not talking about those electric knives.

Alright. Now all forms of technology. Let's just say the sources of technology that are rendered inert cover the Internet, cars, TVs, subways, trains, power plants, airplanes, etc.

So you don't mean technology, but machinery powered by fuel sources other than muscle power or natural means?
After an adjustment period where all people under the age of 50 go through gadget withdrawal, we'd be back to the early 19th century and would deal with it.

I would probably make friends with Bear Grylls real fast.
Gather nearby friends and family. Go to an out of the way rural area with some farmland. Find a reliable source of fresh water. Stockpile whatever food I can find. And plant some crops. With food distribution disabled something like 80% percent of the US population is going to die in the first two to three months. People on important medications, the elderly, the very young, people burdened with young children, all would die off rapidly.
If guns are still working I'd stockpile a few and a decent supply of ammunition. Riots, banditry, stealing food etc. would be rampant for the first couple months, but things would stabilize after the initial die off.
All of that is assuming that the government collapses. Which if it can only communicate with whoever is in line of sight, and travel at the speed of a horse or bicycle seems relatively likely. If government remains intact I'd be called up as a member of the military reserves, and trying to keep civilization going seems like a worthy cause.
