What Was Your Favorite Special Effect In THe New Movies?

It's not the most extensive use of effects, but I still like the sequence with the Enterprise and other ships departing for Vulcan

The warp effect itself is probably my favorite SFX from the new movies.

That instaBANG as the ship zaps into hyperspace (lol jk ) is just so awesome.

I agree, and I like the blue warp exhaust trails as well.

I ended up watching the movie twice yesterday. One effect that I hadn't really noticed up to that point but thought was pretty cool: the Enterprise is headed into Earth's atmosphere, the name and the plates around it begin to peel off due to the heat.

Weird I actually saw a preview at a television at sears and that was the effect they were showing. I had forgotten about that effect and was going to mention it tonight. IF I get Netflix back in the next day or 2 I am going to rewatch the movie. I do enjoy the effects and I will be waiting for the whole scene when the plates begin to peel off. The attack of the enterprise by the vengeance in warp and the plating peeling off are probably my 2 favorite effects. The plating peeling off reminds me a bit of the effect in The Search for Spock when the enterprise destructed. I wonder if that was a bit of a homage to TSFS.
