If its the Archer, surely he has died or transported to another timeframe to change events for the better?

My guess is the beagle and the ''admiral'' archer he was talking about were desendents of the ''originals''.
It was after the Kobayashi Maru council hearing: When Kirk asks McCoy who that pointy-eared bastard is. McCoy says his name is Spock, and Kirk murmurs something (i can't remember what) and leaves. McCoy follows behind and responds, "I like him."
I think it was right after Spock relieved himself of command, then left the bridge when everyone went all quiet...then out of nowhere, Scotty says, "I like this ship! It's exciting!"

My girl's telling me she absolutely loved the moment that Sulu left the handbrake on. I agree with her.
I loved that part too.... "Did you remember to disengage the external inertial dampeners?"
Same at the theater I was at. I was totally OMFG at that!
I loved the whole interplay between Kirk and Uhura, particularly the whole bar scene.
when you traveling at multiple light speeds.. you also travelling at multiple gravities.... how'd you like to be thrown against the wall at say 500 times the gravity of earth...
So many to choose from.
Just reading this thread and remembering the lines makes me smile.
You know lots of people feared that the humor would be stupid in this movie but I found it fantastic.
One of the best aspects of this movie and not once out of place
Oh and everything out of McCoys mouth was gold.
