What was going on in Alternate timelines from other shows?

I want to ask you a question: what do you think was going on in alternate timelines that were showed in one series, in another series. For example, what was going on on DS9 (and how it later went) in that timeline Troi was married to Worf? Or did the Year of Hell affect Deep Space 9? Or what Sisko, Bashir and Dax were doing in that timeline the Bajorans were enemies of the Fedration? And any other such things.

I have a theory that "Children of Time" (DS9) and "Before and After" (VOY) were the same timeline.

Both timelines were rewound back to the same year, 2373. That's also just one year before "Year of Hell," where we learn Annorax is constantly changing history. So the fact that in the same year, both Kes and Gaia-Odo both made decisions that altered the flow of time, may not be a coincidence.

If indeed they were both one timeline, it's a pretty bad one. Sisko and the entire senior staff of DS9 vanish right before the Dominion War; meanwhile, Janeway dies right before the infamous alliance with the Borg. So in the Alpha Quadrant, the Dominion probably wins the war and conquers or destroys the Federation. Over in the Delta Quadrant, the war between the Borg and 8472 rages on. B'Elanna Torres is also dead, so that Klingon ship never gets their messiah. And Seven of Nine is still a drone.

The galaxy is pretty frakked.

But what are the odds of the entire staff of DS9 being on the same craft for a routine mission, and falling into a time-wibbly, right before the war? What were the odds of Janeway and B'Elanna both dying from a frigging exploding consol at the same time, right before freeing Seven of Nine and defeating 8472?

I think this was all somehow the result of Annorax's time meddling. It got Janeway and the Federation out of his way. He likely undid this timeline because it caused the Dominion, Borg, 8472 or some combination of the three to annihilate the Krenim.

The only way it could have worked out was if a hybrid children of human/Ocampa could somehow becoming very powerful and restoring everything....

I think it is worth elaborating upon.

I'll give some more direct answers to your question. I'll make individual posts for different timelines, because it can get long. I know they don't like us making multiple posts in a row, so I'll space it out between other people's replies to this thread.

"Children of Time" (DS9):
  • Picard and the Enterprise are probably viewed as the Federation's best hope against the Dominion. Maybe he would've made an alliance with the Borg!
  • Voyager finally makes contact with Earth, only to learn that the Federation has been conquered by the Dominion, and they're the last of Starfleet! They abandon the quest to get home, and instead start to build a new Federation in the Delta Quadrant.
  • "Prodogy" might still play out, but the Protostar (or a similar Federation ship) has instead become abandoned for reasons related to the now much longer Dominion War. Instead of searching for qthe now extinct Federation, the might instead help Voyager build the new one.
  • The "Lower Decks" bunch would've grown up under Dominion rule, but still remember the Federation from their childhoods. Mariner is definitely part of a resistance movement. I'm unsure how Orion would be affected, but rebel Mariner probably ends up recruiting the Mistress of the Winter Constellation for help fighting the Dominion. Boimler would be an optimistic if seemingly clumsy rebel, with messy purple hair, enamored by the Federation heroes of old.
  • Elnor is also with the resistance against the Dominion. Cristobal Rios is basically Han Solo, starting off a cynical pirate and getting into the rebel cause.
  • Nero can now blame the Dominion for interfering with the Federation's attempts to save Romulus, so instead of going back in time, he fights the Dominion.
  • Kelpian becomes a popular delicacy among the Vorta

The Confederation timeline (PIC, Season 2)
  • Since Picard killed the Grand Negus, the Confederation may have set up a puppet Negus to replace him. Rom is the obvious choice.
  • If Spock was born in this timeline, he may be out to avenge his father (whose skull is in Picard's trophy room).
  • Sisko is probably a pretty badass motherfucker. Unless the Emissary of the Bajorans is among the skulls in Picard's collection
  • Harry Kim has been assassinating his way to promotion after promotion and is now a rear admiral.
  • Katheryn Janeway captains a Confederation bounty hunting ship, that hunts rebels and fugitives.
  • Kira Nerys leads a resistance movement against the Confederation, and is pursued by Janeway.
  • Kelpian is a popular delicacy throughout Confederation space
  • Beckett Mariner and her drug dealer Brad Boimler were in the audience cheering for General Picard to kill the Borg Queen
  • The "Prodogy" bunch find a crashed Confederation ship, and reprogram holo-Tasha Yar to help them avoid the Confederation, as they make a new life for themselves as couriers.

"Yesterday's Enterprise" Timeline

The Federation has been at war with the Klingons for 20 years. Picard told Captain Garret that the war was going badly for the Federation, with defeat being predicted in six months. With that in mind...
  • Tasha Yar saves her shipmates' lives by agreeing to be the consort of a Klingon general and sires a blonde Klingon daughter.
  • If B'Elanna Torres is still somehow born, she's a complete outcast, working as a freelance engineer in some lawless section of space.
  • The Klingons defeat the Cardassians, and are comparatively better occupiers to Bajor. The Klingons respect the Bajorans' fighting spirits. Worf is put in command of DS9
  • The Prophets still arrange for Ben Sisko to end up on DS9, as a civillian running a Creole restaurant. Imagine his and everyone else's surprise when Kai Opaka declares this humble cook the Emissary who will lead Bajor to full freedom.
  • Using the Bajoran wormhole, the Klingons try conquering the Gamma Quadrant, and start a war with the Dominion
  • A Klingon and Cardassian ship respectively are the ones pulled into the Delta Quadrant by the Caretaker. They work together to use the Array to get back home, screwing the Ocampa.
  • Kes escapes Ocampa with Neelix, and they live as Bonnie and Clyde.
  • With Ben Sisko the Emmissary, the Dominion is eventually defeated...but the war has devastated the Klingon Empire enough that some of their subject species are able to revolt and succeed. A new organization similar to the Federation is created....
  • ...assuming the Borg and/or Species 8472 don't annihilate everyone
