What TV shows should exist, but don't?

A tv version of the movie 'Wag the Dog." It would focus on this character who basically helps polticians, corporations, etc out of jams by, finding ways to spin a issue.

BRING BACK SPACE ABOVE AND BEYOND!
A show about the early days of Isreal and how the conflict with Palestine, that we are familiar with, basically got started.
Wouldn't that be sort of a Federal version of 'Spin City' crossed with 'West Wing'?A tv version of the movie 'Wag the Dog." It would focus on this character who basically helps polticians, corporations, etc out of jams by, finding ways to spin a issue.
I think this has been done (looks it up). Yep, 'Exodus'.A show about the early days of Israel and how the conflict with Palestine, that we are familiar with, basically got started.
Use the famous SF novel 'Bring The Jubilee' by Ward Moore. One of the very first alt.history novels.A what if show, about what America would look like today if slavery, had never ended. It would in essence be the ultimate
"Slider's" ep.

As for Historical Fiction, I'd like to see something set during the Revolution. Something along the lines of History Channel's The Revolution series, but fully dramatized and without the documentary aspects.
A thousand times this. Like Silver Age Marvel with better dialogue and less exposition. It would also be great to see a straightforward Superhero series on TV; a show that doesn't compromise for mainstream appeal at all. Something that looks like it was drawn by Jack Kirby or George Perez and set in a world of colorful heroes and villains and super-science and aliens and so on-- even something that just looks like the old Batman show. But it wouldn't be played for camp. It would straightforward adult superheroics as if written by somebody like Roy Thomas or Marv Wolfman or Steve Englehart or Kurt Busiek.
I'd rather see a wider focus, but that could certainly work.I'd like to see a movie or TV series about Thomas Paine. They could bring back the actors from John Adams to play some of the major roles.
The Time Traveler's Wife as a tv series
Oooh, Ritual is a nasty one...I don't think they could do it justice on TV. And if they did do it justice, I don't think I'd watch it...A couple of miniseries based on Graham Masterson's earlier works. Maybe Ritual or Family Portrait.![]()
Definately. Or Walkers. I think that'd work, too. With Masterton it's often all about the discvovery of the evil.Charnel House FTW!
