Well, there IS Grig in The Last Starfighter.
That's because they don't get any love or money
But that's one movie, admittedly a very fun movie but one.
Enemy Mine I guess is another example, any more?

That's always been one of my favorite Voyager episode. It was definitely one of the better episodes with a specific message.^ And remember the VOY episode "Nemesis"? The depictions of the Vori and the Kradin fly in the face of what we expect good and evil to look like. The Vori look human*, and thus are "supposed" to be the good guys, yet they engage in brainwashing and mind control to force new recruits into their cause. Conversely, the Kradin appear to be vicious monsters, yet are friendly and assist Voyager's crew in locating Chakotay.
* Speaking of the Vori: I have a sneaking suspicion that we never see their true form. I think they only look human because it's part of their brainwashing program. Any new recruit - regardless of species - would see the Vori differently. They look human because Chakotay is, and it's a false front designed to make Chakotay like them. (We know the Kradin really do look like what we see, though, because after Chakotay is returned to normal, the Kradin appearance is unchanged.)

Heroin's a helluva drug.Actually...Alien races that invade planets to strip all their natural resources. Most of which exist in reality in large quantities in open space free for the taking.
Also all hero's/ heroins are amazing physical specimens of irresistible sexiness. No Pugs or Munters...very unrealistic!

Aliens that speak perfect English except that they talk like they have a stick up their...
The last Jurassic World movie, one of the good guys is a velociraptor. Extremely smart! She (it's a female) even anticipated an explosion... I had no idea she had a degree in chemistry!!!
I mean people from four centuries ago wouldn't even know that explosions existed!

In Deadpool 2 they say "Why can't we ever meet a planet of functional idiots?"
But, in Star Trek, almost all planets are functional idiots. They seem to all be super-gullible helpless morons who need the guidance of benevolent aliens to basically function.
No that's just the pakleds..
It’s a nameless horse. Of course, of course.Heroin's a helluva drug.
Take the EU as an example, the Germans and French share a common currency and border and yet the French are still French and the Germans still German. And that is the way it should stay. The only way humans become like fictional, monolithic Vulcans (whose motto is IDIC, what a contradiction) is if there is a genocidal World War that destroys everywhere on Earth except some small village in Cornwall, who are then left to populate the planet.
But of course. A good small female lead is a Force To Be Reckoned With. The smallish female lead who can kick any man's ass is another well-worn trope at this point (one of the latest being Dutch in Killjoys), but it's a trope I like, so never mind.![]()
That one I'd like to see turned on its head. It would be nice to see good guy reptilians.
What are we defining as "superpowers"?The Aliens with superpowers.
