What time do you leave for work/school?

I get up at 10am, have a leisurely shower and get myself ready, watch a bit of TV, then I'm out the door at 11.30am to get to work for 11.45am.

My shifts are different every week, I usually leave for work about 15 minutes before I start. Enough time to grab a cup of coffee and...another cup of coffee.

We rush out around 7 a.m., and all five of us get to five different locations. My wife and I ready to start work at 8:41 a.m.

I'm up by 5:45 on school days, to catch the bus at 7:10. Get to school by 7:40, classes start at 7:55, and end at 2:50. However, every other day, I get out at 2:09, as I had room for Early Release in my schedule. However, since I have neither a license, nor a car, and often have many after school activities to stay for anyway, I have to either catch the 3:00 bus home, or I normally go in to one of the music labs and practice my violin. Wednesdays and Fridays, I need to be at school by 7 for a morning French class (in addition to the normal class time during the day), so I'm up by 5:30, and leave the house by 6:30. About a 15 minute commute by car from my house to the school.

Now, I leave at 745 to get to my desk by 8 am.

When I lived in the LA area, I left at 415 to get to work at 5 am, actually starting work at 530. That first half hour was eating breakfast while all the equipment warmed up. That was on my time.

^It can be a bit lonely, though. There are days where I work from 10am to 7:30 at night, and hubby won't get home until 9ish. I don't see a single person all day---I just yell---erm, "talk"-- on the phone with my supervisees when they do something wrong or I field questions.

I have a 4 minute commute by car..if I catch the light and traffic's OK, otherwise it's 7 minutes..but I get up rather early (old military training kicking in) and prepare..so..up at 6:45..do a little morning business..and have a civilized breakfast with tea..watch the news of the day and get to work..

However my worst Commute was from the West side of Fort Worth to the East Side of Dallas..68 miles 1 way...and I started at 7:30..so because of traffic concerns, I always tried to time it to get there at 6:30..so I got up then at 5AM got ready as fast as possible and drove to work like a Madman..When I arrived, I would partake of my breakfast at work..the morning paper, breakfast and Tea again..Just need the tea to get me settled I guess...

Perhaps it's my British roots betraying me..

Sounds ideal to me, I hate people!

I am not a morning person
Totally with you on this. Sadly, these days I generally have to report to the local VA (fortunately a 5-minute drive) around 7:15 or 7:30. Quitting time is anywhere from 4:00 to 11:30 PM depending on how badly our service is getting slammed with new patients.

I drink a lot of coffee.

But you like children?
Perhaps in the W.C. Field's sense..

"Children should neither be seen or heard from - ever again."

I leave my house at 6:50am and get to work by 7am. I then leave work at 3pm and get home ten minutes later.

It's a 4km (2.5miles) drive). ;)

I leave for work at 5.55am every morning. I get to work between 6.50 - 7.00am and I'm out (usually) by 3pm.

I live about 1.5 miles from my place of employment. I leave at about 7:20 (work starts at 7:30).

I've actually walked there when my car was in the shop.

On Mondays and Fridays I leave at 6:00 am. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I leave at 10:30 am.
