What Sticks With You?

2 things at work. My favorite radio station comes in like crap. So whenever I fidget with the dial, I'm thinking, in the back of my head, I need to compensate for the subspace interference

We also have communicators at the hospital, made by a company called Vocera. Wear them on a lanyard around our necks, but I also tuck mine out of the way into my left shirt pocket, right where a combadge would be, & that's exactly how you activate it. You press the front, & say "Find... (Whomever)", and then it connects to them when they accept the call

Whenever I have to call someone, I want to say "Bridge to... (Whomever)". I bet if I mess with it, I might be able to get it to recognize that phrase instead. That would be hilarious

Every time I leave work for the day, especially on a Friday, I think of the Enterprise warping out of the Mutara Nebula, just in time, as the Reliant explodes!

When I see some useless product being sold on an infomercial I think to myself, "when are they going to start selling Self Sealing Stem Bolts?"

When I walk through automatic doors, I expect them to go "Whoosh".
When I walk through a set of automatic sliding doors, I'll often do a Lt. Riley in "The Naked Time" -- jauntily marching with upraised arm, snapping my fingers as if I'm commanding the door to open and close. Or drunkenly stumbling through while "blowing" the door open.

I have no idea why people give me the strangest looks . . . :p

I enjoy thinking of the US's Founding Fathers as (the) Founders given that it's an appropriate synonym but given the Deep Space Nine characters has an ironic connotation, especially given how reverentially some (including at times myself) think of the real persons.

That is one of the coolest things I've ever read.

Whenever I go thru automatic doors, I either blow on them or hold my hand up at them like Riley did in Naked Time.

If I do something goofy, my wife will say "Is there some significance to this action?"

If my wife says something that calls for "Indeed" as an answer, I use the Worf voice.

I didn't come up with the idea (it was from this board but I forget who) but it is a lot of fun.

Every time I figure out something that stumped everyone else at work, I think to myself, "An' that's how I keep a reputation as a miracle worker!" -- I always hear Scotty saying it about himself in my head, though I don't think that was one of his lines.

Whenever I have a fancy drink of some kind I raise it and say, "Here's to the finest crew in Starfleet!"

I'm gonna start doing that whenever I have to give a toast or something. Hopefully I'll get to do it at a wedding :bolian:

While opening the window blinds in the morning I think "polarize the view screen".

"He's dead, Jim." When we find dead rodent or bird out on our land.

Once I said a variation of Janeway: "Coffee. Black. Just kidding. pass the creamer. "

Also, when we have these weird weather days, specifically when a cold front is blowing through...

"Captain... We're experiencing a [temperature] fall off!"

Every cold morning, I watch the engine temperature in my truck, waiting for it to warm up. As soon as that needle starts to move, I kick the blower on high.

In my head I hear Scotty: "You'll flood the whole compartment!"

Every morning.

So what from Trek sticks with you as you go about your day?
How beautiful it is...... This show was made IN THE 60s and they make it seem like its made WAY IN THE FUTURE!!!! (Maybe 2050) -- Certainly not 60s!!!
