Once there was an Irish folk band called Clannad featuring Máire Ni Bhraonáin and her little sister Eithne. So that's where Moya Brennan, who passed away a few days ago, and Enya came from. Enya was long gone by the time Macalla came out, but hey, Bono popped up on one song. They were pretty removed from trad folk and buried in '80s production but still had their moments.
