What silly thing did you once believe in?

Aw, but Octopuses are very cool. Not only are they interesting physiologically, but they're very intelligent animals.

You sound like my aunt

She says the same thing. I still get creeped out by them, though. M'Sharak's avatar caused me to recoil from my laptop screen.

:rommie:

Well, admittedly, they are kind of creepy. Until you get to know them. Then they're quite nice. :adore: :D

When I was a kid, somehow I got it into my head that if I moved around much in bed during a thunderstorm, the negatively-charged static electricity thus released (I guess my mother didn't use enough fabric softener) would attract a positively-charged lightning bolt and fry me. Unfortunately for me, I lived in Memphis at the time, which has approximately seven night-time thunderstorms every week.

I was deathly afraid that grey aliens would snatch me if I walked past a window at night with the lights out. This persisted well into my teens. :shifty:
