what show did you start watching star trek

The first Star Trek I have vague memories of was TMP. I was about 4 years old, and I slept through a lot of it - but I vividly remember seeing Spock in the thruster suit.

I first starting watching Trek in repeats when I was in 5th grade - 1985. Definitely TOS, and the first episode may have been "Spectre of the Gun", but I'm not positive. It's likely that Dad watched a few episodes with me in the room not really paying attention (I liked to draw a lot) before one grabbed me.

I got hooked as a kid, watching the original series on NBC. If I'm doing the math right, I would have been around seven or eight at the time. I remember that it was a big deal that Dad let me stay up past my bedtime to watch this new show called STAR TREK with him.

Later, of course, the show was rerun constantly in syndication the whole time I was growing up, so that I pretty much knew it by heart by the time I was out of grade school. :)

The Next Generation. I would've been about six years old so it would've been in 1990. Instantly hooked.

I've been watching Star Trek for as long as I can remember. So, probably four or five. My first series? The original Star Trek in mid-70's syndication.

The re-runs of The Original Series with my dad. I loved the 4 (at the time) movies too and also The Animated Series. It was The Next Generation that turned me into a super fan. That was my show growing up but I love (almost) all of them in their own way.

I vaguely remember seeing it on TV when I was not quite 3 in 1969 on a black and white set. I was aware of it growing up but it was the second and third movies that really got my interested. Did they come out in 1982 and '84? I would have been in secondary school by then. The fourth movie was the one that really drew me in.

I watched Star Trek (2009) last year as preparation for J. J. Abrams's upcoming Star Wars film, I wanted to get a taste of his work. A few months later, it came on TV, and my dad, brother and I all sat down and watched it. Dad was a big TOS fan growing up I learned that day, and so we watched Into Darkness the next day.

The first show I really got into was The Original Series though. Started it eight months ago, and I haven't looked back since.

I was aware of TOS in first run but I wasn't able to watch it. I got hooked on the reruns in the early 70s, when I was 11 or 12.

I started watching when The Next Generation started....I was 10. During the run of season 1, I had only seen some episodes so I was behind so I waited until the reruns came after the season finished so can watch in order.

i grew up watching reruns of TOS in the 80s. i don't know how old i was exactly, but the first episode i remember clearly is Arena.

I was born in 1964, so I saw TOS episodes. I remember many, but "Day of the Dove" stands out due to the sword fighting in engineering!

Must have been 4 years old!!!

I was about five or six when my mom had me watch reruns of the original series, this was about two years before TNG premiered.

The first episode I remember watchin' was 'Journey to Babel', though I must have seen I a few before then, since I was excited to see Spock's dad.

I don't know. To my knowledge, I've always been watching Star Trek. The earliest Trek memory I have is "I, Mudd" where Mudd is showing Kirk and co "Stella," his android wife. As for my I age, I'm going to say it was before kindergarten, so 4 years old. 1976.
