What should be the next Star Wars game?

Imperial Commando. The genetic material of Delta Squad was saved by Imperial Intelligence. Now commander Thrawn had recreated Delta Squad. Able and ready they cannot wait to fight the New Republic and pressure imperial warlords to join Thrawns coalition with threats, sabotage and coups.

They could also get into who ordered Thrawn to be killed.

My thoughts as well... it's time for a major spaceshooter again and i think it would sell like hot cakes.

Refight the Trench Run, evacuate Hoth and go into Death Star 2.. should look glorious in contemporary graphics.

KOTOR 2 didn't have Revan, so a KOTOR 3 could do the same. Maybe use the character from the comics if it wants to stay in the same time frame. Or maybe set it pre-TOR and during the war to tie it into TOR or after/during TOR so Revan's fate from the novel and game can come into play.

I'd like to see a FS2 style space sim...except without an ending that will never be answered. Set in the NJO would be pretty cool. If they do it on the right scale the Fall of Coruscant would be beyond epic. While the Vong is the main enemy you can mix it up with collaborators and given the Imps and Republic join up you could in theory have a choice between either a Rep or Imp campaign or that at some point you get access to fighters from both sides.

I also really enjoyed Rebellion back in the day and Empire at War wasn't too bad either so I'd love to see a big strategy game in a similar vein as those two.

Ooh, just had an idea. Another space sim like I said, but set in the years before ANH. I mean, the Rebellion was already known of by Luke before he joined, so they had to be doing *something* in the time before, right? You could probably have a mix of different era ships in there, too.

I hate Lego games and the SNES games were contra with star wars.

Yeah, I hate the Lego games too. They were easy and boring.

But Contra with Star Wars? Two of the coolest things ever put together and you say that like it's a bad thing? Except for a space shooter I can't think of a better genre for Star Wars.

My vote would be KOTOR3 or another Jedi Knight game. Perhaps a Jedi Knight game in the Fallout open world (preferably worlds) genre.
