What should be the next great Trek game?

Not quite what I meant. Didn't mean to cause offence.

Mass Effect of course had a huge budget, but it also pioneered some imaginative game design, which many can take inspiration from and create something 'like' it.

Hope that clears that up. Apologies for the confusion. :)

No offence was taken from you, was the other comment that pretty much shot it down before even seeing what we have. But i guess thats the indie business for ya :)

Thanks for the support! You don't need a budget to create something innovative.. wouldn't mind one tho ;)

Ah, right. Cool. I didn't understand Yevetha's post (everyone knows ME had a big budget, so why the assumption?). I guess it was just lost in translation or something.

Anyway, don't take anything personally on these forums. Lots of folks view, but they don't have an opinion, so they either post something unflattering or they just move on. It's the way it works I'm afraid.

Rambling, now so I'll just say, Good luck with the project. I'll be keeping an eye out. In fact, why not create a thread here and keep us updated?

I would love a new Bridge Commander type game but with more emphasis on moral choices and more open world plus faster flowing combat DS9 style and not the slow TNG style we got from the original BC game. Also with the likes of Kinect and voice control you could get a very enhanced style of gameplay though for me some sort of co-op BC game would be great imagine giving orders to your friends who could be your pilot or tactical officer, just like a real crew.

Failing that imagine a Mass Effect RPG style game with space combat as well.

Sounds like ST Excalibur would fill that brief...but it's still a few years down the line...
