What should be retained ?

I think a better question is what shouldn't they retain? The generic action movie feel, the terrible writers, J.J. Abrams' directing skills, the excessive lens flares (they're ok in moderation), the excessive shaky camera work (again, it's ok in moderation), the retarded Spock/Uhura relationship, the Apple store bridge (at least the Kelvin bridge didn't make you go blind), the brewery engineering and the exterior ship design.

I am wondering if the Bridge of the Enterprise is going to be retained as it was seen in the film. I have seen the captains chair auctioned online. If they were not going to change the bridge then why would they sell the big chair.

IIRC, it's not uncommon for there to be tweaks and slight modifications to the bridge set from movie to movie--that certainly has been the case before. Even if they did auction off the captain's chair, it's likely to be replaced by a new one that will still fit in with the rest of the set, IMO.

Personally i never liked the TOS movie sets it looked s dull compared to the other series.
