Whoa, I didn't know so many people hated Buffy and Angel. Those are my top two favorite shows.
The show I'm starting to dislike is Lost. I finished the first season and its starting to piss me off. The amount of unnecessary flashbacks and the tedious dragging out of the storylines. I litterly yelled at my tv "Hurry the hell up!". Honestly, the show is highly overrated. If you want to watch a good mystery show go watch X-Files.

But unlike X-Files, most of Lost's mysteries actually make sense eventually. Well, those which aren't just dropped, of course.

Oh, X-Files. Can't stand it. Duchovny couldn't act his way out a wet paper bag, and the conventions of the show are terribly contrived. My sister once said she could write a hilarious SNL skit spoofing the X-Files which would have things like important clues being revealed at just the right moment - by being written on a paper airplane which flies into the scene from off-camera and hits Scully in the head. I thought that was about right.

There's not too much I do dislike in the sci-fi/fantasy genre. I have a wide variety of sci-fi/fantasy tastes that range from Babylon 5 to Xena to Red Dwarf to Buffy, so I'm guaranteed to like anything that is quality.

The only thing I hate are pretentious movies that seem to think it's a sin to be entertaining. Movies such as 2001: A Space Odyssey and Star Trek: TMP are the most boring, pathetic, lifeless movies I have ever seen. I've never been able to sit through either one all the way through out of fear of falling into a coma. Being slow as molasses and lacking in fun doesn't mean a show is intelligent; it means that show sucks.

I'll second the Wheel of Time series too. Never before have I seen an entire cast of characters so stupid and so poorly written that I wanted the whole lot of them to die.

Never got into: Andromeda, Angel, Buffy, Doctor Who, Smallville, Supernatural, or any of those shows like Medium, Charmed and the Ghost Whisperer that are too girly for me.

Did my fair share of VOY and ENT bashing, and TNG isn't aging well, but I watched most of all those series anyway.

Used to like Stargate, but bleah, I'm pretty much done with it. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is starting to bore me. I'm watching BSG to the bitter end, but I'm not too sad that the bitter end is nigh - after a spectacular start, it's stretched my patience a bit too far.

However, I'm giving Chuck another chance. I saw some of the later S1 episodes and it turned out better than I'd expected judging from the pilot. Also hugely looking forward to Heroes - which can get a lot crappier than it was in S2 and still get me to tune in. I just love that dumb show.

Never saw what people saw in Journeyman last year. This year, the one I don't "get" is Fringe.

Moving on to film - never thought much of any of the Matrix movies.

I mean, how can you not be intrigued by the concept of a show where the good guy is a monster and the bad guys are lawyers?

I really am curious about this, actually. If anyone's got a good answer I'd love to hear it.

I'm shocked by all the Whedon hate in this thread! Buffy, Angel, and Firefly are some of my favourite shows.

Nu BSG is one I have never gotten into, but I don't dislike it. Just haven't really watched it enough to gain an opinion. I might like it if I watched more of it.

Stargate, again, I've not really gotten immersed in. I liked the movie, and have seen some of the shows, but they're not Must Watch TV for me. Don't hate them, though.

One franchise I really don't care for is Charmed. Poor man's Buffy knock off.

And I have never seen what people see in Harry Potter.

Lord of the Rings. I never read the books, so that might stem of my dislike of them. Note: I don't hate it; it's just not my thing.

Firefly. Can't get into it. For a show trying to be completely different from Star Trek, it seemed like many of the episodes that I saw were still in the vein of Star Trek.

Dr. Who. Some cheese is okay...but this is more than I can take. It must be a British thing.

Voyager and Stargate are basically it. There are others I don't watch, but Voyager and Stargate tend to actually irritate me.

It's been several years. Even though I know you can indeed get a wrong impression like that, any random time I might have checked in didn't seem to be any different. No offense intended to those who liked it, but it didn't do a thing for me at all.
