Indiana Jones. There are two huge areas that just scream to be filled in, Indy's early days (with Abner and Marion) and his WWII adventures.

Indiana Jones and the Second World War! That would be awesome. And how about a post-ROTJ series, or one set during the OT between movies?

A Star Trek series. There are so many possibilities. A Captain April/ Pike series, Captain Sulu on the Excelsior, Captain Riker on The Titan, a post-finale TNG, DS9 or VOY. Even one of the novel-only series, like SCE, IKS Gorkon or New Frontier.

I'd also like to see something set in the Buffyverse (especially a season 6 Angel) or the Firefly universe.

I don't think anything mentioned so far lends itself to CG. Why not a live action Titan series or Young Indy? Out of those listed, I would say either a Middlearth series or Matrix series would be the ones that best lend themselves to the format and have the most potential.

I know it has already been done, but I would love to see more Starship Troopers in a CG cartoon. the Roughneck chronicles was amazing, even though it was screwed royally by Sony and TPB.

Wouldn't mind a new Wing Commander or Mech Warrior carton series. Maybe a new Robotech cartoon series but made with Macross Frontier style animation.

Hmm, I would have to say that for me, the historical (for want of a better word) nature of Indy and the Middle-earth series renders them unsuited to such a hi-tech format as CGI animation. Mind you, we've already had a live-action Indy tv series and it wasn't very good (then again, neither was the last movie ...)

I'd rather have a live action Titan (or any Trek series) than a CG one, but I think it's extremely unlikely that we'll get one. Especially a TNG-era one, given the failure of NEM. There's also a rumour that JJ Abrams has asked for and gotten an assurance that there will be no new tv Trek for a few years (look how the movies started to get less financially successful after TNG came on air) but the studio might be willing to make a CG series, to appease the die-hard and 24th century fans.

By your definition, not by most people's. Most people loved Indiana Jones & The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, as did I, and they also got, and loved Young Indiana Jones. That you couldn't get the latter show only underscores what Lucas was trying to overcome with Young Indiana Jones-namely, the lack of education most people have as well of the lack of historical knowledge, and the lessons and wisdom that Indy learned as a younger man he now applies and conveys as a older man. Such a shame.

Back to the topic at hand: I'd love to see a CGI Star Trek cartoon, but based on my idea that I'd previously mentioned (Starfleet Academy) with new characters, set in the 24th century, after or around the events of Nemesis/Titan.

And I think it's a shame that people have to resort to eye rolling smilies simply because someone else has had the temerity to express their opinion. I didn't slate or flame the movie or the series, merely said that they weren't very good. I didn't enjoy them, I fail to see why that merits an eye roll. It's nothing to do with 'not getting' them, such patronising is really pathetic. I have a keen interest in history, I studied it to A-level (i.e. final year in school) and I'm sure I know at least as much about world history as you do, or George Lucas does, for that matter.

Almost everyone I've spoken to disliked IJ&KOTCS and few, if any, have any views other than indifference towards the tv series. KOTCS was good for the first while but lost its way about half way through and, for me, committed the cardinal sin of not feeling like an Indiana Jones movie. I 'got' what Lucas was trying to do in the tv show, but I simply found it dull and uninvolving - given that it was set against the backdrop of some of the 20th century's most interesting events and characters, not to mention having one of cinema's great characters as it's lead THAT was the true shame, IMHO.

And before you accuse me of being a Lucas or Spielberg basher, I loved the SW prequels and I think Spielberg is probably the greatest film maker alive. But even they can have an off day.

Please don't condescend to me again.
