What no Arkham City Thread?

Had it waiting for me when I got home from work. Thank you, Amazon Prime account and release-date shipping. :)

I picked up my copy on the way home from work. Wal-Mart was having a special where you get Arkham Asylum free as well. I guess I'll give my extra copy to my friend who has been insane and never played the first.

So far, it seems like Arkham Asylum with a bit more free roaming. I'm really digging it.

Plus enemies can surender now and you get to interrogate them.

So far it's a fun game.

Hmm, I haven't encountered that yet. Does this happen during story missions or when roaming around beating up random thugs. I played the first couple of story missions and then I decided to go roaming. It's been awhile since I've played AA, but it seems the Riddler trophies are considerably more challenging this time around. In fact I'm pretty much lost on what to do on most of them.

A little strapped for cash at the moment, so unfortunately I'm going to have to hold off on buying this for a little while. :(

I hope you guys enjoy it!

I took yesterday off work just so I could spend the whole day in my sweat pants playing this game. Ten hours of gameplay later, and I'm only at 22%.

Soo... worth it? :P

Mine is getting delivered today or tomorrow. Which is just fine because I didn't need the distraction yesterday (or tonight even).

Very worth it. It almost reminds me of a cross between Arkham Asylum and InFamous. The gameplay is very similar to the first game, but it also has a large open world and tons of side missions.

Don't think it's due out over on this side of the pond for another three weeks or so. Definitely looking forward to it, though for some odd reason it's not available for pre-order on Steam. Doubly odd since the last time I opened it there was an offer for 20% off Arkham City for people who owned the previous game or the Lego Batman game. Somewhat vexing that.

I thought that I read somewhere that it was being released later this week in the UK. The PC version is coming out on Nov 18th at least for the US.

If you can't get to it you can mark in on your map.

Story mission
But only kind of. I am much further along in the story than my roommate is, yet I haven't encountered this. However, it was one of the first things my roommate encountered while playing. Because of the side missions and random things in this game, it's quite possible to do things in a very different order than other people.

Actually it's a mission you have to activate yourself and could possibly miss:

When the Riddler takes over the church, (you'll know it when you see it) head on inside.

So, I've been having loads of fun just zipping and gliding around the city and solving Riddler puzzles. Main quest? What main quest? There's trophies to hunt, and riddles to solve, and phones to answer, and political prisoners to save from random muggings! All of those are far, far more important than whatever crap the Joker is up to.
