What makes you aggressive?

Hormones (there, I said it!).

Any time of the month, rudeness and general ignorance. I had manners drilled into me and, while I admit I can be quite a mouthy cow, I do try be considerate of others. The Entitlement Bunny culture appears to have taken over, and it drives me up the wall.

^ OMG. Me too. Sometimes it's like i'm having an out of body experience. I can literally see myself getting out of control and i can't do a thing about it!! It's really awful!

And to the OP. Snoring really makes me want to kill as well. I recently realized that i haven't had a good night's sleep in 30 years because the husband snores. In fact, some nights i sleep in another room now. And last night, at 2 am i had to get up and go into another room. It was that or smother him with a pillow.

Communicating an idea intelligently, purposefully, and carefully, only to be misunderstood anyway. Happens all the time in my line of work (technical support).

Explaining to people the spelling of my name. B-r-a-i-n is brain, not Brian.

Inconsistent leadership. Leadership that says one thing, then does another. Leadership that does not stand behind it's own principles.

It can definitely be taken too far.

For me it's about the social dynamic as much as the argument itself. If there's five piling on one, then even if I agree with the five I'm unlikely to chime in to that effect. I simply take no joy in hitting someone when they're down like that, and the evident joy that some do take in coming together to 'mock the outsider' disgusts me. In such circumstances I'm more likely to jump in by picking at flaws in the arguments of those whose opinions I actually agree with, or lend support to the arguments of those I disagree with to whatever extent I can. It's all about levelling the playing field.

Oh, that's what I do, too. You summarized how I'll get involved pretty darn well, really. I just won't do what that guy I know does, and defend horrible things that clearly do not need someone to stand on their side over, heh.

-- Saying you're going to do something the not doing it.
-- Deliberate acting dumb in order to pull a fast one or get out of doing work.
-- People that have to get right in my face, and I mean close enough that we're touching when having a argument, or stand there wagging a figure in my face or poking me in the chest as they chew me out.

Not really the aggressive type, but i would say drunks or people with a drink in them annoy me no end and i cant be doing with them ever.

People that drive 20-30 miles under the speed limit and sit at green lights. People that take up entire aisles at Wal-Mart... so basically, people that are oblivious that other people exist.

Bad drivers, especially the crazy ones that don't know what they're doing. You can be a safe, fast driver with good spacial awareness, but being fast, cutting people off, and running red lights does not

make you a good driver, nor does your obnoxious music and noisy muffler!!!

Other things- again, snoring or noise so that I can't sleep.

Animal and child abuse especially make me very, very aggressive. World, consider yourself warned.

People who argue with no interest in fact, or in having a discussion where both sides are heard, but instead just bellowing their own opinion... also people who won't shut up during movies.

It takes alot to get me angry and when it does l explode
If l am worrying about something and l bottle it up l will let it go until l cant take it anymore
if l am tired too the same reaction
If my workmates get on my nerves when l know l have not done anything l will have my say

My mother has this phrase she uses when she wants me to do something which guarantees that I will do the exact opposite: "I think it would be a good idea..." ARGH!

I'm not a big fan of double standards either. I know this woman who loves her pot, but thinks that anyone who smokes tobacco is evil. (I have another phrase I usually use to describe her stance, but it's not a very polite one - it starts with "shot and" and ends with "on". And not necessarily in that order.) When she starts in on it, she makes me want to light a cigarette and blow the smoke right in her face. The smoker giving rise to her complaining can be 50 feet away from her and she'll still bitch about it.

The other thing that gets my knickers in a twist - not necessarily in an aggressive manner, but it depends on how much sleep I've had - is if someone feels the need to explain how to do something that I already know how to do. I usually respond, "Mmmm, eggs," as in "don't teach your grandmother how to suck them." (People don't usually get my point the first time, but once I've explained what I'm trying to convey, they get it after that.)

Drivers on the road piss me off; they drive too slow, too fast, too recklessly, too cautiously, too ignorantly, they think they have the right to control the tempo of the road, they speed, they don't speed, and they are in every sense an obstruction, a nuisance and an annoying thing. I don't like them.

People who forget to turn off their cell phones at the movies or who talk on them loudly...DURING the movie!. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are of course absolutely spot on, and the thing I find weird is that I bet everyone on the planet would agree...yet still we have these idiots that forget to turn it off and answer when it rings. I bet if you asked them if they hate people that do that they'd say they do too.
