What Kind of Flowers Do You Like?

Kestra, marigolds are very happy and giving plants! :)

We use them often to make garlands for both religious and non-religious ceremonies. Here's an example of how they are used to decorate a house for a wedding.

never used to like flowers used to be one of the triggers of my hayfever. but the past few years it hasnt been so much a roblem.

like honey suckle the best and jasmin love the scent, not too keen on roses tried keeping them in the garden for ages but eneded up with a aphids feeding frenzy

may seem wierd but i like elder flowers too reminds me of my childhood

It depends. If someone is giving me flowers, I like whatever is in the bouquet. :) But to have in the yard, I like whatever is colorful and easy to care for.

Dandelions are happy flowers.

I like flowers.

I rather like daffodils. Narcissus poeticus being a personal favorite for the scent and its beauty, but it's not something you'd want to keep in large amounts indoors unless you're fond of getting sick. ;)

I like flowers that are alive; I don't like picked flowers. I prefer small flowers more than large ones, like alpines and wildflowers and herbs.

I prefer to see them growing outdoors too rather than in indoor plant-pots, but some indoor flowering plants can be nice. :)

Kestra, beautiful picture! And a lot of work. :) I love bright orange like that, too.

Not a valid response!

Daffodils are definitely pretty. Unfortunately for me, being around large amounts of any flowers is generally bad for my health because of allergies. Since I have to work with them, I don't keep anything at home.

My favorites are hyacinths and snapdragons.

I had totally forgotten about snapdragons! Now that reminds me of my childhood. I like that people are reminding me of flowers which I had totally forgotten.

Thank you. It's not for everyone, but it's a traditional Indian look. :)

I love the smell of jasmine, honeysuckle & elderflower.

Roses also, for both their scent and appearance.

I also like carnations a lot, though mostly if they're used as a boutonniere.

And bluebells, esp. a carpet of them in the woods in spring.

Tulips and lilies are nice too.

I really like red roses - my wife was kind enough to "allow" them at our wedding. I also like pointsettias - although I guess they are technically not flowers...

I love lilacs and hydrangeas for their lovely light scent.

Tulips remind me of my grandmother and to some extent heritage.

But I'll take pictures of anything flower like

As before... Tulips, lily of the valley, lillies, and daisies. The daisies in our communal garden duck when the mower comes round ~ I swear half an hour after the men have gone the lead daisy picks up his head and gives the all clear and they all rise up again :)

[reads all posts, starts taking notes] :bolian:

[heads over to nearest petrol station forecourt] :D

[Oh, you're SO romantic  - someone]

Well, as someone who has never really taken time to smell the flowers, I can't really say which flowers are my favourite. I guess any flower type is lovely. :)

I currently have bluebells growing in my garden, all over the place. They keep the evil-looking cat away. :D

I am however a big fan of roses. (No, not the chocolate box type, although they can be nice too. ;)) I especially like the white roses for some reason, although that which we see a rose by any other colour would emit its pollen as efficiently. :bolian:
