    Some random episode of TOS.

If I'm watching the TOS Movies, or a season of Disco or Picard, it's different. I'm consciously deciding "I'm going to run through these!" With six movies for the former and shorter seasons for the latter, it's easier to do than the Massive Series Re-Watches I'm doing right now. They've made New Trek a lot more binge-friendly.

@ananta hang in there! You can beat this...

My go-to view for comfort- Trek is probably ST Undiscovered Country. It's not even my favorite (of the films, let alone all of Trek), but I find it infinitely accessible and entertaining and it leaves me with no heaviness afterwards. Kind of Iike eating a bowl of rice krispies. :)

My comfort trek is foremost movies 1-4. The saga of 2-4+6 is my quintessential idea of trek that, unfortunately, I don't feel the rest of trek matches. TOS is a close second, but the movies feel like a maturity of the concept that I rather enjoy being there than anywhere else.

The Berman era shows never did that for me. Here's hoping pikes Brave new worlds can put us back to that pioneering period from TOS.

The original Star Trek (doesn't really matter what episode) and Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

I've tried that before, and ended up watching the whole damn thing. Just something about the movie that speaks to me. :p

I miss summer nights watching TOS as a child— with the sussurus of the air conditioner humming right along.

DS9, it's not exactly the most lighthearted Star Trek out there but the characters are real and relatable, sometimes it's nice to see aspects on yourself living in a better future. Also ST IV, it's just so chill.

Side note: not season 7 or the last episode of season 6, I will not watch Jadzia die again.
