What is your one favourite game ever?

Wicca who Wonta

Vice Admiral

My one favourite game ever is probably Fahrenheit (or Indigo Prophecy as it's called in the US). Though it is an old game it has a great story and atmosphere, inventive gameplay, believable characters as well as great voice acting and soundtrack. I've played it through three times, which is kinda unusual for me.

Runners up would be The Longest Journey and Monkey Island 3.

What is your favourite game if you can choose only one?

Resident Evil (the original for PS1).

So many memories and I am probably the only person on the planet who still plays it 372136128736128736721 times a year.

Galactic Civilisations 2, if I had to live on one game for the rest of my life it would be GC2.

Ugh, one?

Goldeneye 007.

Mario 64, Starcraft and System Shock 2 taking runner's up.

Resident Evil (the original for PS1).

God sake, marry me?

Little more serious note, Resident Evil 1 (and the Directors Cut equally as much) are my favourite games of all time. Resident Evil 3 comes in at a close second (mainly because Jill looks smoking, and I remember one time where I almost shit myself when the Nemesis appeared outside of the diner, with no warning at all).

Wing Commander IV

Good ol' DOS.

I had all the fancy joysticks, throtles, rudder pedals when I played it.

Ooo, nice one. I was always disappointed that I only got to play WC4 on the PlayStation. I could never find the PC version anywhere, and Amazon either wasn't around at the time or I didn't know about it.

Thank goodness for The Kilrathi Saga. I might have never gotten to play WC1, WC2, or WC3 without it.

Would probably have to be the old X-Wing series. Its the first PC game I ever got into and I played that thing to death. Still have fond memories.

Really wish they'd re-release it with fancy modern 3D graphics.

"Frontier: Elite II" - it took up a lot of my time (despite even the X-Wing games), kept my fascination with the space trading game genre alive, and in particular captured my imagination from a very early age, including creating my own virtual world persona. Certainly I'd go as far as saying that without it, there would have been no Zion Ravescene.

The Golden Sun duology. (Yes, it's split onto two cartridges, but it's just one game.)

(Before the characters got canon genders and alignments, I might have gone for a Knights of the Old Republic entry.)

But if I was going to be stuck on an island with just one game... Tetris.

Based on my limited experience...

Most Fun: CRACKDOWN (but it is a little shallow)
Most Played Over N' Over: (TIE) Mario Kart Gamecube & Star Wars Battlefront II
Best RPG: FINAL FANTASY 12.
Best Shooter: HALO 2.
Best Strategy: Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour
Best Ancient PC Game: Commanche 3 (helicopter game)

I just couldn't pick one since different game genres are so different.

Dunno if I can pick one, but by platform...

PC- Half Life or TIE Fighter
N64- Goldeneye007
Cube- Eternal Darkness
360- Saint's Row or Oblivion
