What is your favourite regeneration scene?

I wonder would this also explain how Three knew (in The Five Doctors) that his successor was “all teeth and curls”? Some have speculated that the two had an offscreen team-up adventure but usually the earlier incarnation doesn’t remember anything about his successor.

I thought Sarah was doing the grin and hair twirling motions that got 3 to say "all teeth and curls"?

I do recall 2 saying to the apparitions of Jamie and Zoe that they shouldn't know about him (but the Time Lords didn't erase their memories completely; only all except their initial meeting of him.)

Yup. Romana did so, in not-one-of-the-best-scripts, and was done as a throwaway joke by the writer and production crew.

The Tenth Doctor arguably figured out how to control enough of the process, and revealing that - post-regeneration - there is residual energy that lingers for a while, which allowed him to regrow a hand (and would retroactively tie into how Romana or anyone conscious of the process can change their visage afterward without increasing the regeneration count, in a nice bit of continuity.)

Mine's probably 10 to 11 for Vale Decem and all the build up but I really like all the new versions I've seen. I loved the brevity of 11 to 12 and I found 12 to 13 really quite sad with the ring falling off. I think Melody regenerating into Mels was also really unexpected and quite cool. 11 failing to regenerate at Lake Silencio was really upsetting and I kinda hate the Teselecta trickery from later on.

I like the speech 12 gives, right before the end. 11's farewell speech is also quite memorable.
