I love the Road Runner cartoons. :rommie:

Me too. My favorite bits are when the coyote is chasing the road runner and the action suddenly freezes, with fake Latin sounding captions appearing under each, like "Coyote: Ingenious Fastus Pursuitus", "Road Runner: Birdius High-Ballius". :guffaw:

I also adore the Road Runner/Coyote cartoons as well and wonder when he'll ever catch that darned bird! :guffaw:

Anyway, favorite alltime movies for me are:

Armageddon
Deep Impact
Space Cowboys
Heaven and Earth
Apollo 13
The Women
For Love or Money

I seem to remember there actually was one cartoon where Wile E. did catch the Road Runner. I think he used a giant robot or something. But in the end he cocked it up somehow, I forget how.

Apollo 13

Another Apollo 13 fan. :bolian: It's the launch of the Saturn V that gets me every time.

Personally I prefer Deep Imapct to Armageddon - less noisy and silly. On the other hand Armageddon does have Peter Stormare. A dilemma. :(

The Coyote will never catch Road Runner. He's a crazy clown. He never can mow him down.

Great list. A lot of these would have made it into my own if I'd remembered them, especially The English Patient and Operation Petticoat. :D

After the top five, things get murky.

1. East of Eden (1955) Directed by Elia Kazan.
2. Children of Men (2006) Directed by Alfonso Cuaron.
3. A Clockwork Orange (1971) Directed by Stanley Kubrick.
4. I'm Not There. (2007) Directed by Todd Haynes.
5. The Last Wave (1977) Directed by Peter Weir.

Yeah, I know it's a weird list. Whatever. I'm eccentric. It's allowed.
