Talking about official stuff here, not fan designs. What bit of concept art do you love and what would you have loved to see onscreen?

For me it's got to be the Ring ship that could have been the Enterprise on TOS

Some Earth Ship from the Enterprise era which should have been the Enterprise herself IMO

Almost all of the Phase II concept art, but especially the recreation room:

That would have been amazing. Even if the whole set were CGI'd, they should have fought for this sort of thing. Engineering was the weak point of that films visuals, and this would have taken the idea of the warp core to a whole new level.

Can't find it but I love the original Next Gen bridge sketch, much larger, two levels, with business and lounge areas.

Well it was the Planet of the Titans Enterprise and the asteroid space dock.
I think now it's probably drawings of the ST3 spacedock, which feel a bit more like retro space-opera-ish, something from Terran Trade Authority.[IMG]
and some of the stuff from Star Trek: The First Adventure http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Trek:_The_First_Adventure . I really like the idea of an older USS Enterprise preceding the NCC-1701.

Some of the concept art appears in licensed material. Eaglemoss is slated to produce the original Enterprise-C model, and the USS Enterprise XCV 330 ringship as rendered by Mark Rademaker.

You might get your wish in the next movie. Check out engineering on the new Enterprise-A:

I think you are right. I am looking forward to seeing the new interior sets of the new 1701-A: Bridge, Transporter room, Engineering, Hangar deck, etc.

Ricardo Delgado's early ops/bridge concept designs for DS9 are magnificent! I'd've loved to have seen them on screen. And his early concept for the Tears of the Prophets is actually tear-shaped (rather than the hourglass) and looks quite disturbing, somewhat biological, and definitely alien. The art is in Judith & Garfield Reeves-Stevens The Making of Star Trek Deep Space Nine book, but I can't find the aforementioned images online (there are a few others online, though).
Oh, and his Borg concepts for First Contact are quite grotesque - I wish that's how the Borg had been depicted on screen.

    Broken link--any other view?

Now THAT'S a new one on me.

    Doesn't look like Nilo Rodis-Jamero

Love to see his other designs fleshed out

I dunno, but I always likes some of Eaves' earlier work for the Sovereign class, including the forward slanting nacelles and the moving nacelle pylons.

I also really dug some of the original designs for DS9.

    - While I didn't find them online, here are the ops and orb concepts, plus a starship also by Ricardo Delgado, and a space station by Jim Martin (I took photos with my phone as I couldn't be figged to sort my scanner out):

Wonder what the deal was behind that design. Just an off hand thing? For the Next Gen movie? Or another Enterprise would be on DS9 making it an Enterprise based show again?
