What is sci fi's most beautiful spaceship?

All these starships mentioned are great but there is one not mention yet I thought was beautiful was the Excalibur in Crusade and loved Captain Matthew Gideon played by Gary Cole. Especially when he was playing basketball in the ship's gym.

My defintion of beauty in this case has nothing to do with looks and everything to do with function. Galactica is the only ship in sci-fi that's a pure carrier, the main reason I've always been fascinated with it.
Wrong.

There's more to sci-fi beyond books, movies, and television.

Not much more, though. Assuming we're lumping Comics in with books then what's left - video games, radio programs, verbal storytelling, stage productions (not really practical for a carrier)?

Does anaybody remember the old cartoon Starcom?

If not, check this out:

This used to be one of my favorite cartoons when I was a kid, mainly because of the Starmax and Starwolf spaceships. So if I had to pick second favorites, these would be them.

Argh!

Yeah, any sane pilot would want a loose cat running around in a fighter's cockpit where all sorts of Gs are being pulled.

The Original Enterprise.

Nothing before or since, not even the refit, has surpassed her.
Word. :techman:

I'm also pretty fond of this:

And these:

And the more classic and realistic designs:

Agreed on the 1701. Sleek, graceful and to the point. Not a lot of bric a brac cluttering it up.

And that's why I place the 1701 Refit as second. Similar styling but adds details almost for the sake of adding details. Still beautiful but the 1701 is just cleaner.

Discovery is also beautiful as a whole, although paying attention to particular sections makes you wonder why you like it until you pull back and take it all in again.

Good looking but not necessarily beautiful ships are the original Galactica, the SD and the SSD, and Crusades Excalibur

I just realized no one has mentioned yet (that I could see) the Prometheus and Daedalus from Stargate...

The Prometheus was a cool design, I was kinda pissed when they destroyed her. The Daedalus however always looked like a giant turtle to me.
I thought they both looked just a tad too chunky for me (even though I love the B5 EarthForce ships). I do, however, like this design immensely:

I was just watching Star Wreck and was reminded how pretty the CPP Kickstart is:

They built it on Earth?! It's not canon!!!!!!!

;)

I have to go with the Enterprise from TMP and TWOK, and the E-E from First Contact. I'll throw in the White Star too.
