What is sci fi's most beautiful spaceship?

The Andromeda Ascendant.

Seconded. In the lead up to TNG they liked to talk about "technology unchained", where form was as important as function, etc. I don't think we ever really saw that in TNG. It's not until Andromeda that we see that concept realized, IMO.

From books, comics, cartoons, movies, and television.

If we're talking scifi, as opposed to tech fantasy...

A GSV. A great smooth and luminescent spheroid. At least with its fields on.

Although the River of Stars must have been a magnificent sight in her prime.

I'm torn between the original Enterprise and the TMP refit. I guess the refit gets the edge.

I was always quite fond of the "dandelion" ship from Carl Sagan's Cosmos. The Protector from Galaxy Quest is also a really neat ship.

Refit Enterprise. I love a lot of Trek ships, but Millennium Falcon and Serenity are probably my next favorites.

Hmmmm....for me, it would be a toss up between Earth Alliance's Omega class destroyers from Babylon 5, and the Excelsior class in Star Trek. Honorable mention for Home One from Return of the Jedi.
