Life is the penultimate result of the self-organizing properties of matter. Self-awareness is the ultimate result.

The meaning of life is to appreciate the universe.

"Life: A spiritual pickle preserving the body from decay."

- The Devil's Dictionary

Also: fodder for our movies and tv shows.

More seriously, it's a process that was accidentally prepared for over billions of years (and a few centuries of consciousness) so that a cluster of self-aware organisms may someday realize a peaceful, enlightened, environmentally sustainable Utopia.

By which I of course mean lots of sex.

I'll have to agree with the bard on this:

Life is but a walking Shadow, a poor Player That struts and frets his Hour upon the Stage, And then is heard no more; It is a tall Tale, Told by an Idiot, full of Sound and Fury, Signifying nothing.

Self-awareness is the ultimate result.

How do you know? :p
I have a Sixth Sense. :mallory:

Or maybe a Spider Sense.

It's true though, no matter what life throws at you, never let it get you down, you know, always be ready for what ever life throws at you, and if you can work it, it'll end up feeling nice. It may be a B, but make it say your name. :)
