What is in the Galaxy class neck?

Mage

Vice Admiral
Admiral
Was watching this video on the Nebula class, and ofcourse the Galaxy class is mentioned. And it suddenly hit me...
The saucer has living quarters, medical facilities, labs and what not. The engineering section houses the reactors, fuel, everything needed to make the ship go.

Then I realized, the neck is a lot thicker than for example the Connie. And has a LOT of windows. So, what's in the neck?

There would seem to be an implication that at least the senior officers probably have two sets of quarters...one in the saucer section as established, and one in the stardrive section for when the saucer's detached. I can't imagine the designers assuming the saucer would only be separated for less than 24 hours.

There's certainly precedent for that on U.S. Navy ships. I've toured museum ships with small staterooms for the CO, adjacent to the bridge.
