What ifs never considered yet

What if Picard and crew were literally the Next Generation and TNG was set right after Trek VI, with the Enterprise-D actually the Enterprise-B?

....Garak had succeeded in his 'little genocide' on the Founder's homeworld in Broken Link? Would there still be sufficient changelings to keep control over the Dominion, or would the Vorta just have taken over and launched an all-out attack against the AQ? Or would the Dominion have crumbled? Or something else still?

^pathetic? Judging from the episode (and the fact that the Enterprise was able to use the cloak), the Pegasus came very close to successfully testing a formidable technology (if only they had managed to stabilise it/ succesfully integrate it with the other systems), and the Romulans would probably.have realised that after their investigation.

The test still resulted in ship merged within an asteroid and a dead crew. Which would have made the Romulans laugh at Federation ignorance.

What if the virus that Odo contracted and passed to the founders wasn't given to him by S31/SF Medical, but what if Bashir Himself created and infected Odo?

Add to that...What if Mirror Bashir killed Bashir, threw his body into a waste reclamation tank, and impersonated him for the rest of the series.

Wouldn't have worked. To start with, Mirror Bashir wasn't that nice a guy, so his general behaviour and attitude would have given him away very quickly. Mirror Bashir also wasn't a doctor, so his lack of medical knowledge wouldn't have gotten him very far. And he probably wasn't genetically engineered, thus preventing him from taking a crash course in medicine to help the ruse.

What if Weyoun's ship was destroyed in "TO THE DEATH" before the Defiant got there?

What if the rogue Jem'Hadar unit succeeded in using the Iconian Gateway?

What if ... Kirk and Rand developed a stable romantic relationship early in the first season, which they kept it on the down low?

Kirk remained a bit of a flirt, but the womanizer aspect of the character never came into being.

Then Weyoun downloads to another clone body, passes along the info about the renegade Jem'Hadar to his superiors, a proper response is dispatched to the planet to deal with them. Meanwhile the Defiant continues to search in vain for a while longer before giving up.

They were successful. Do you mean if Sisko and Weyoun hadn't crashed the party? Then they likely attack a few other targets, but eventually get found out anyway and are defeated.

What if the Constellation class Defiant was never thrown back in time and into the Mirror Universe?

(Which the events of the "IN A MIRROR, DARKLY" two-parter tell me that for about 100 years, there was virtually no technological advancement. Further proving that cooperation between species was the key to bettering everyone.)

I don't know what made me think of this, but I had a thought while laying in bed last night.

What if (And I say this with all due respect to Sadler.) instead of wasting McDowell on a shitty character like Soran, he had played Sloan? But nothing is ever said onscreen, and the obvious question is left beyond the fourth wall.

What if those engineers managed to actually remember these incredible technological breakthroughs they come up with on a semi-regular basis for more than a week ? (case in point: practical immortality by giving everyone the rejuvenation treatment they gave Pulaski in Unnatural Selection. Or any number of revolutionairy improvements on warp drive. Or ...)

What if Weyoun 6 survived? How would he relate to Odo after the war?

What if Gegen joined Voyager?

What if there was no TPD?

What if the Kelvans invade the Trek Milky Way?

What if the MU cardassian-Klingon alliance invaded the Federation and their multiversal governments?

What if Worf had never returned to The Klingon High Council in "Sins Of The Father". Maybe K'Ehleyr would not have been murdered by Duras in "Reunion". Then, no fling with Troi and no marriage to Dax?
