What ifs never considered yet

On TOS and alcohol, I like the fact that they allow a character some leeway in his drinking, before getting judgmental... however, Scotty and Bones are borderline at best. I never thought that about McCoy until I recently saw a scene (Conscience of King?) that must have been cut for commercials before, where McCoy is drinking for entertainment in Sickbay, in the middle of the working day.

What if Captain Kirk had remained trapped in Janice Lester's body at the end of the terrible Turnabout Intruder episode?
Sandra Smith could have continued to command the Enterprise as the new Captain Kirk, leading to some interesting story lines for the movies.

What if the Hansen's had never followed the Borg?

What if there was no Star Trek? (What would we do with ourselves?)

What if Enterprise was really good?

What if everyone in TOS had worn miniskirts and go-go boots?

What if Alexander and Naomi had normal human growth progression?

What if Kai Opaka hadn't died?

^^Shatner just doesn't have the legs for miniskirts. Nimoy did, though.
With Opaka, there'd never have been a war. She'd have found intelligent ways to prevent it.

What if Picard had been killed in the Darmok-Episode? I don't think Riker would have made a good captain (too rash and too much ruled by his ...errr, how is a lady supposed to put this?... gut-feeling, only a bit further south)

What if the Hansen's had never followed the Borg?
Then another Borg drone would have been chosen as the Collective's liaison with Janeway in Scorpion and everything else would have developed largely the same as it did.
What if there was no Star Trek? (What would we do with ourselves?)
I guess I'd actually have to put an effort into my job.
What if Enterprise was really good?
Then it would have gotten its seven seasons, ending in the spring 2008, possibly with a shortened season due to the writer's strike. As the Trek franchise likely wouldn't be see to be on life support, we likely wouldn't have gotten Trek XI in 2009, and there could very well be a TV show currently on the air right now. Perhaps even two, to take advantage of the shared universe fad that's so in vogue these days.

What if Star Trek is the real world, and they stream us on Netflix?
Riker: "What are your plans for this evening, Geordi?"
Geordi: "I'm going to introduce Data to that show everyone's talking about, The BBS."
Later, in Data's quarters.
Data: "Geordi, I fail to understand. What exactly does 'raped childhood' mean?"

You forgot

"Damn, that 1001001 is as witty as he is handsome!"

Just imagine the conversations on the bridge.
Riker: "I only watch it for 1001001. He and I are very similar, I believe."
Worf: "I find that Wormhole fool to be an honourless petaq."
