What if Tuvix had survived?

You know how people say, "he's not really dead as long as we remember him". They actually say that, not just in the movies, people say it with great feeling and it is a meaningful part of dealing with a loved one's passing.

Well no one EVER on their deathbed or dealing with a terminal illness comforted themselves thinking that they wouldn't really be dead because after their heart stopped and their brain went dark their relatives and friends would still be sitting around reminiscing about them.

The whole episode is full of these little tricks and the Tuvix threads are full of these little tricks and in the end Tuvok, Neelix, and Tuvix all either existed or they didn't.

Neelix had a replicator.

He had all the herbs and spices the crew had grown up with.

(Replicating in Bulk might not save power, but keeping a barrel of nutmeg that will take him 3 years to use up completely is good for the lean times over the next three years.)

Neelix just knew better, and the crew would adapt.

Do we think that Chell was any good?

I wonder, would Tuvix have been more accepting of his fate if he knew that a bunch of Star Trek fans would still be reminiscing about him 19 years after his death?

So if I made a copy of you who could live your life, you'd be alright with being murdered?

If they created a second Tuvix, Tuvix2 would still have Neelix2 and Tuvok2 unfairly trapped inside him, and if they were eventually also released, then there would be two Neelixes and two Tuvoks arguing about time sharing holidays with their families and alternating cowgirl Thursdays with T'Pel and Kes.

There is an episode called "Too Many Pinkie Pies" where she discovers how to reproduce herself so that she does not miss out on any fun. She is quite satisfied with her duplicates doing things that she can't do because she cannot be everywhere. But of course it gets very out of hand as the duplicates also want duplicates.

I logically worked that out from the title.

Not my first rodeo.

I acquired all of My Little pony for my NEPHEW recently, and still have it, and maybe I'll watch it some day but I doubt it.

I'm more looking forward to the live action Jem movie coming later this year.

There was an awsome carebears Joke on the uNbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Kimmy "In this situation what would the Care Bears do?"

Her date "Well that really depends on which Care Bear we're talking about, they're all unique."

Is nephew in capslock because this is a new, and therefore exciting nephew or to emphasize that pinkie pies are for children?

Pinkie Pie is the best character, the superior and pinkest pony.

If he was a pony, Hoovix's cutie mark would be the Cenobite Twins, but with Neelix & Tuvok's faces.

Doesn't everyone agree to be murdered and replaced with a copy each time they transport

Tell Tuvix he needs to beam to sickbay. Tuvix2 arrives in sickbay, Tuvix1 gets separated in the transporter room. If TuvoK and Neelix don't like the philosophical problems that come with the existence of Tuvix, well tough. That's the price you pay for arsing about in space with anomalies and time and fancy technology and the such. Will and Tom didn't like having duplicates in the world. The universes response to that was, deal with it
