It's called a war crime.Murdering them en masse before they murder you en masse is called war

If its the Borg I take that war crime any dayIt's called a war crime.
Well here are my thoughts....
Picard - He is throughly disallusioned when he discoveres that the Borg still exist after he killed the Queen in "First Contact."
Is Guinan on the ship?My take on the crew's initial reactions to being put into the Scorpion situation:
*Picard - would really like to use weaponized nanites on the Borg once they're discovered, but Troi and Crusher counsel him otherwise against a genocide. Wants nothing to do with the Borg, and would rather go it alone to the alpha quadrant rather than accept the Borg's help.
*Riker - Wants little to do with the Borg, but would rather team up when it's mutually beneficial and then leave at maximum warp.
*Troi - is worried Picard might use his experience with the Borg to justify rash action, and would advise caution to him
*Crusher - she would have the staff and ability to come up with a weaponized nanite to combat 8472, but she'd be dead-set against giving it to the Borg
*La Forge - would be more concerned with getting the ship home in one piece without relying on starbases for the 40+ year journey.
*Data - looks at it as an opportunity to explore a side of the galaxy not explored by Federation vessels
As to the overall situation of having Annika Hansen during the course of the altered timeline:
*Picard - after resolving Scorpion, I can see him becoming a father figure to Annika Hansen, after seeing her re-assert her humanity, ordering Crusher to remove the implants. He would, however, force her to use her human name, and wear a uniform as soon as possible.
*Riker - wouldn't trust her, considering she's a Borg, but seeing how he has become friends with Data, he could come to respect her experience and knowledge.
*Troi - would counsel Annika to explore her humanity and get in touch with her feelings, and would help her get in touch with her own family history.
*Data - would be a sort of mentor to her regarding interacting with humans and social conventions, helping her become much less brash and Borg-like in her mannerisms
*La Forge - would accept her help, but likely only after she develops some social skills. He doesn't take too kindly to strangers telling him how to run his engineering section (Relics anyone?).
I can see some lingering distrust, and especially if the Enterprise hits upon the Raven, but I can see her having better role models in the Enterprise crew than in Voyager, with Data, Troi, and Picard to guide her.
Listening Drones? We don't quite know where that one is located, though. Placing it somewhere in Delta would be fine, I guess, but it might just as well lie in Gamma or Beta or Alpha, in the latter two cases either right next to Earth or then somewhere close to the galactic core and thus Delta.
What would be left of that planet, I wonder...?

Picard would have known that the Borg started it. Unlike Janeway he can hear the CollectiveI imagine Picard would have struck closer to the Prime Directive, adamant about not interfering (maybe some whole other way of not being able to get back) but on the other hand he would have been more influenced by Worf, willing to do some aggressive defense given their vulnerability.
With the Borg specifically he would have taken a lot more convincing to try to do an alliance, he could have actually sided with Species 8472 at least initially, they being written less as outright purging the galaxy even if they were also dangerous/hostile to a lesser degree (and the reveal something like 8472 initiated hostilities or were developing too-dangerous weapons or maybe were related to the species that created the Borg), Seven could have still joined, Picard would have been more suspicious of her initially but willing to accept her, maybe Worf initially seeing her and turning her as valuable and Troi also pushing to help her more out of sympathy.
Picard would've started a new mini-Federation, bringing together many of the species and bestowing on them the benefits of working towards the common goal of peace and prosperity. This new branch of the UFP would also provide them with resources and supplies to help them along the way.
Riker would've caught some exotic space herpes from trying to get his leg over with a beautiful female from every new species they met.
Crusher would never have the EMH switched on. The programme would be deleted to make room in the computer core memory for all the new discoveries they make on the journey home.
Data would save their asses on a regular basis. He would also be the one to bond with Seven, helping her to understand humanity from his unique perspective.
Troi would've had her hands full dealing with the emotional and mental fallout of being so far from home. She would also be the one to properly treat the trauma that Seven endured at the hands of the Borg, allowing her to regain her humanity a lot quicker.
Worf would become the new helmsman and would never know of the dishonour brought on his family by Duras. He also wouldn't be in the running for the worst father in the galaxy. K'Ehleyr would still be alive.
