What I Would Like For The Next Companion

I'd really like to see a male companion; maybe get that Jamie & Second Doctor vibe. It would be a nice change from the "adoring female who's the most important person in the universe" thing. A father/son type relationship would be a nice departure.
How about more than one companion picked up from more than one time zone.

I was dismayed watching Web of Fear a couple years ago, seeing how 1960s Debra Walting seemed, when considering how large the TARDIS wardrobe is, that's one hell of a fluke, considering the authors at the time couldn't see the future, or had lived it.

Well, there was sorta that vibe with Nyssa and Tegan. Nyssa helped herself to the TARDIS wardrobe partway through Castrovalva, and by the time she left in Terminus, she was wearing nothing but her underwear. Interesting, considering how snooty she was regarding proper dress, decorum, and dancing in Black Orchid.
Nyssa was also a child. Or at least the Doctor allowed Tegan to drink Vodka in Black Orchid, while Nyssa was barred.
Funny thought. Adrik could only get drunk once, and probably not that well, before his body identified Alcohol as bad and created permanent counter measures. A similar argument has been going on about Wolverine for years.
