In the first video. I don't know if it also started elsewhere, but I refered to him as that in the 3rd clip thread, and it just kinda caught on from there.

"The Apple" when Kirk tells that it was (just blown up by exploding rock) redshirt Mallory's father who helped him get into the Academy? Well, if this bar fight is what brings Kirk to Pike's attention, and leads Pike to challenge him to join up and to complete his Academy studies in less than the usual four years, then wouldn't Cupcake, by being an aggressor and fight participant, have helped Kirk get in? Might Cupcake's full name actually be Midshipman Cupcake J. Mallory?
