Spoilers what happened to the kelvin shuttle?

Yeah, it was kept among all the other ships that we see in Narada's bay until Narada was eventually destroyed, at which point all those ships, the Kelvin shuttle included would also be destroyed.

anyone find it strange that the kelvin stayed still even though it was getting attacked.

the captain and later goerge kirk both called evasive patterns, seems like a waste of breath,

Never thought about that before. In fact, the Klingons had 25 years to study and reverse engineer 24th century Romulan technology. What did they do with it?
Overmined Praxis with an intent to move against regional powers only to loose several due to Nero's escape.

The Klingons don't capture the Narada in the finished film, only in the deleted scenes.

Yes and no. The scenes were deleted (except one in the mind meld sequence), but the sub-plot remains intact. Remember Uhura's intercepted transmission:

UHURA: Good. The strangest thing. I was in the long-range sensor lab...
GAILA: Yeah... I thought all night.
UHURA: I was tracking solar systems and I picked up an emergency transmission.
GAILA: Really?
UHURA: Yeah, from a Klingon prison planet.
GAILA: No?
UHURA: Yeah. A Klingon armada was destroyed. Forty-seven ships.

Also Kirk's line to Pike:

KIRK: The Kelvin attack to place on the edge of Klingon space and at twenty-three hundred hours last night, there was an attack. Forty-seven Klingon warbirds destroyed by a Romulan, sir. It was reported that the Romulans were in one ship, one massive ship.

So, the Narada either attacked a Klingon prison planet (why?), or they staged a prison break.

Yes and no.
They took out anything that explicitly showed or said that they were ever captured, even small bits within the parts you listed. And they also re-purposed shots that were originally meant for the prison sequence. (Such as the shot of Nero turning to the camera. Or the shot of him lying on an interrogation table, which is now him lying down on the Narada.)

It's not an intact subplot, it's a short collection of references that they couldn't be bothered removing the last vestiges of.

Which makes it all the more fun to play around with.

Especially since why would Nero bother with a Klingon prison planet and wiping out 47 Klingon ships if they were not in his way of attacking the Federation?

The Kelvin is seen beginning to evade in the very next shot of the ship after Robau calls for it. Likewise when George calls for bravo six maneuver.
what i meant was they didn't increase impulse power, as when the attack continued after the captain got murdered,, the engine speed was not increased,
