What happened to Spix Macaws in Star Trek?

S[pix Macaws are a species of birds that I have liked ever since I was a child. I wrote about them a few times. And I was wondering what happened to them in Star Trek. Did they survive into the Federation’s time? If they do, were they resettled to another planet? What would all main characters (not just Federation ones, Quark, Odo or Kira too) think about them?

They are extinct in the 24th Century, Quark once tried to revived the species but it turned out to be a scam. Odo transformed himself into one to try and catch Quark. The last living specimen was eaten by Kira and her fellow rebels during a particularly rough winter during the Occupation.
