What happened to Merlin on NBC?

Crusoe was not a British import, at least not one im aware of anyways

a second season seems to be confirmed, by ASH saying there will be one.

Even after it got shuffled to Saturdays?
sorry I think you maybe confused "Crusoe" was moved to Saturday night in the US, but it has never aired in the UK.

Merlin airs on a saturday night in the UK, but saturday night is a big deal in the UK, and Merlin has got a second series.

Prime viewing days and times are different here, Saturday night is the prime slot on British TV, there is no 'bigger' slot for family-friendly stuff; it's Doctor Who's day as well. Tbh, although I find Merlin engaging in a naff way, I don't think it's good enough for its slot. It's certainly no Who. But I'm glad it's getting a second season, it's certianly good enough to warrant the time to mature.

I accidently started a second thread asking the same question about Merlin. Whoops!

Originally I believe that all of the news articles on-line said that Merlin was going to air in Winter 2009 (I'm guess that meant January). But as already mentioned, NBC has already released it's schedule for the beginning of 2009 and Merlin isn't there. I haven't found any new info on any of the news sites on-line... all they talk about is how Merlin is noticeably absent from the line-up.

NBC will be showing Merlin November 2009-January 2010 according to the last report I heard. You guys have to wait almost an entire year for it. By which time we'll be on our second season no doubt. But I watched the last one today and WOW!!!! you are in for a treat.

^ way to get on top of internet downloading NBC, what are you going to do next start showing Casualty but start with Tony & Ruths first day / coach bomb episode?

actually joking aside that would be a good time to start showing Casualty, if they were ever to do so, but it is from 2007, also the BBC could use the money they get from selling it, to improve the shows stunts, which have gotten worse in the past few years.

and you guys will be looking for an ER replacement

;)what has NBC TO LOSE by airing it bye take care

What they have to lose in airing anything is devoting a timeslot to something that won't pull its weight, when they might have aired something more successful. Network timeslots are inherently valuable and shows have to earn them.
